I was recently at an airport waiting for an arrival... the Thais there were all masked in the waiting area, only two French farang were not.
There was even an announcement about covid and staying masked. The farang who got off the plane, were 95% unmasked. The Thai were masked.
I was embarrassed for the unmasked farang. Not masking in a public place when requested, is rude behavior. i don't like to wear a mask either, but for 30 minutes it was not a big deal and I was respecting others beliefs.
This is not a post about the medical validity of masking, it is about respect and courtesy. If you are an atheist and sit down to dinner w/people who pray before dinner, you would sit quietly out of respect for their beliefs. This is even more egregious as people are concerned for their health whether needless or not.
