  1. Oh, how I try...
  2. Alcohol is an addiction, an illness. One drink leads to the next... and the next.. There is no moderation or sensibly -
  3. Best of luck on your sobriety journey. I've been around a long time and I am pretty sure I never met a drunk who had a good life.. Having passed 70, this becomes an interesting subject... I do have my own simple pursuits but it all takes a backseat to helping my family with the challenges they face. Personally, I know the road points downhill and things that were effortless in the past, take a bit more doing. Travel is a bore, as I vividly remember days when beaches were not overcrowded, as everything else... I do struggle with this question too... some inward journeys are holding some interest...
  4. I was just in Big C and a group of Chinese have no awareness of the fact that there are other people, they block lanes etc... and they are loud...
  5. you need the bank swift code, name and # of the account - - then have your bank transfer the money... I think unless you have a special relationship w/your bank, you need to be in your home country to initiate the transfer... maybe there are other ways but it is not complicated.... I hope you are sending the money to a well known development company... they can go bust...
  6. My first purchase was a Fiat Spider w/back seat shelf that I bought in Rome and drove around Europe - - and I slept in that too. For a month I had 2 girls from N. Dakota and they slept in it too... I did ship it back to USA but sold it to get the $$ for a one year RTW backpacking adventure... first time in Thailand was 1974... FREEDOM!!
  7. I hope you included interest on the money... 1 baht per day.
  8. I'm getting bugged drivin up and down the same old strip Gotta find a new place where the kids are hip
  9. In running your numbers, don't forget to calculate what you will earn on your own... I just never like entanglements. There is no reason why business agreements can't be simple and should be straightforward.
  10. As a long time business man - I never liked any complex business deals... If I inherited it, I would sell and use the money for something that is either mine w/no others involved or invest it somewhere more traditional w/no contingencies... or more likely, a combination of both. I am a simple guy and have done well w/o complicated deals... in other words, if it needs explaining - I am out.
  11. I have a pair that come into my house frequently... they like the rice scraps from the dog dish.. they are pretty smart too..
  12. 2 months and last year wasn't bad...
  13. Tried Big C? We have a decent mop. I am not sure where it is from but don't think it is a rare commodity.
  14. what if they turn out to be plumbers?
  15. I don't know - - maybe the tattoo guy can do it...
  16. they are just decorative... like a tattoo but less permanent.
  17. if you buy, you get the price appreciation of the land - -
  18. well, the property near me has just gone up about 2.5x ... though they haven't sold it yet, I think they will...
  19. yeah, I got the cordless part... but thanks.
  20. bargirl = candle wax - they will melt into whatever you want... for a fee.
  21. I called them out at Big C a couple of times for prices on the shelf not matching register prices... it was never a big amount and they corrected it willingly but the time wasted... ugh.
  22. and yet many people have not... at least not yet anyway... ** This does not include me - I saw my name on the list.
  23. That line does not work well with the ladies
  24. I have considered an outdoor sauna - What plusses or minuses have you found? I have read that with the current boom, many cheap not so good saunas have come on the market... what brand is best? Sure, I could just take a walk in hot season and sweat, but not sitting down.
