We're about to walk into wars on at least three fronts and maybe four (Russia/NATO, China/Taiwan, Iran/Israel and if wars go hot expect Kim's DPRK to enter the fray on Russia/China side which I fully expect to end up in a fully scale world war, and as Elon Musk's spat with Trump is about, Trump has decided to engage in "Big Beautiful Spending" starting with increasing the freaking military budget to $1.2 freaking TRILLION dollars for More War plus God only know what other nonsense in that congressional monstrosity, all after DOGE set out to decrease government spending (and what do we get - a net increase in the US debt further screwing the US Dollar), and there is chaos in US blue cities as local government officials like Newsom and Bass literally endorse street violence to protect those who broke the law by entering the US illegally. Trump is going to lose his base if he hasn't already. He has a mess on his hands and it's his own fault. My guess is before the end of the summer, he'll listen to the war-hawks in his cabinet and just go to war.

Shirer's book The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany as Evans is a historian and writes with an historical academic perspective.
