  1. I do stop and take pix and slow down in many places but we like to stop at Ma and Pop places for a break we are in no hurry. My buddy has a Triumph 660 and another buddy who comes sometimes has a Phantom so on those trip we have to stop and wait for him. ???? I'm looking forward to December doing the Mae Hong Song loop again with 3 other riders. We will do a 4 day Nan trip again before then though and maybe 3 or 4 day trips as well, great fun.
  2. Yeah you must be fit, I had a CRF250L and it was comfortable to ride but to do 11 hours would have been too much. These days me and biker buddy ride to enjoy and stop every hour or so and wherever we end up no later than 4 o/c we find a place and chill out. ????
  3. There ya go again "A lawyer told me" . With respect if you don't understand what I'm trying to say when a falangie hits the bucket as I say get a lawyer then. I don't need one.
  4. Whow !! that's one long days ride.
  5. Fling me it's up to you. E.G. If only money in bank and you want your wife and no-one else to have anything and you provide your wife with access to the account why need a lawyer. If you own a condo a house, truck, cars, motorbikes I would say yes get help from a lawyer to do your Will.
  6. I just can't see what all the fuss is about if I want a larger amount than a ATM will give I go in the bank with passport and bank book.
  7. Only if it ends up in a Thai Court. A Norway guy died in our village his wife ended up with all his stuff no problem at all no court involved.
  8. As said in the beginning I believe that an English persons Will is expected to be in English how it turns out to be translated into Thai is a Thai problem.
  9. I would say it depends on your financial circumstances. In my situation I only have money in a my name only account and have stated in my Will it her money to take.
  10. Concur I changed my name only bank account required by immigration to an ATM card account and my wife knows where the card is and the pin number. My other account is an ATM joint card account so again accessible. All the bikes and the truck is in my wife's name. She has my Will with her named of course as executor if ever asked for.
  11. The bank are not notified of your demise,so when it happens your family can still draw the money anyway.
  12. Yeah just arrange who you want to have your money no problem. Falangies who put everything they can into the ownership of their name are the ones who need lawyers. But a honest one. ????
  13. Z800.
  14. I would like that as a back up following my motorbike, I can manage about 17 to litre but easily do 12 when I want to push it excuse the pun. ????
  15. I'm not a trail rider but even many of the roads around that area are nice. ???? My biker mate comes back from UK late September, he has some mates from Holland coming wanting to ride the Mae Hong Song loop but will probably ride back Mae Sariang way to extend the ride out.
  16. Well I'm not surprised a Thai lawyer would state the law but TIT mush the province district office said she can because the bank doesn't have to be notified of my demise and that's why my money is in a ATM account.
  17. Many places are different around the country sounds like the place you live is awful.
  18. My wife had my hand written will witnessed by 2 persons, translated and OK'ed by the province gov office. As insurance I have made it possible for her to withdraw all my Visa extension money if I suddenly peg it.
  19. Yes a nice bike except at doing 150 mph ????. Which do you have what's the difference between the Z, the Z SE, and the Z RS, is it just extra spec extras.
  20. Well the thread just brings to a memorable time when I got my money over from UK when retiring here 2005 September 75 to £.
  21. Great ride chris trailblazer ???? Mai Sariang is a good stop off place cheap hotels and some good food in roadside restaurants.
