  1. As mentioned, there are decent garden designers available but there is no way to guestimate a cost until you sit down with someone and establish a plan. Will you need fencing? Walkways? Excavation? Etc. Thailand is fairly inexpensive to populate a garden with nice plants but keeping them looking good (and living) will require ongoing maintenance.
  2. Yes. Earth from CU connect to screw on hanger. The wall-mount control has a speed selector for the fan and an off/on switch for the light. You OK for wiring?
  3. Does the fan have a separate switch? Otherwise, the 3 wires are likely L, N, E. Is the fan for wall or ceiling mount?
  4. We had a 60cm or so block wall topped by 2m chain-link panels, posts about 2m spacing done about 1 year ago. The labor was B300/m. Wife did the painting (primer + 2 coats) and everything still looking good. Our front wall was also block with iron work on top. That was 10 years ago and the paint still looks good. No mold. Photo before paint:
  5. If you are referring to what I call soffits, they are designed to ventilate and for sure you don't want to plug. Insulation is your best bet with walls, vegetation to block noise a long term solution.
  6. The architect just did a floor plan? A good architect will have complete drawings for plumbing, electric, roof structure, materials, etc. Builders who just look at the sky and give estimate based on footprint should be avoided.
  7. Some years ago, I had a similar problem: I had B800k in the bank but I had opened a new account that was not within the 3 month time frame. No argument would crack the "rules". I had to go to Vientiane for new visa. Be sure to have money in the bank before you go for visa although with Covid, don't know where you go to do that.
  8. For reason I don't know, it is not common to have a chain link fence constructed like it would be in the states. Here, they use concrete posts and chain link panels, usually sitting on top of a partial wall. I was skeptical of that method at first but we did 33m for a little over B20k (material and labor) and I'm happy with it. Be aware there are several different grades (thickness and material) of chain link.
  9. That they are not professional HVAC technicians.
  10. "Quitter-talk forum"? Interesting observation. Some jobs should not be attempted with DIY. Finding and fixing an HVAC leak is one of them. The fact that you have hired 3 different non-professional repair guys with the same result should tell you something.
  11. Not the kind of thing you want to take on yourself especially if you don't have the proper equipment. I suggest calling the service center for the brand and get their qualified technician to check it out.
  12. My guess. If nobody knows otherwise, it must be. Cheers.
  13. Thanks Crissy. That is my plan. I just don't understand the 48Vf claim. Google doesn't help so what do you think? Edit: when I fist got, the bat voltage was 15V or so. They both died after less than 1 min.
  14. I bought a weed cutter from Lazada (B1200 or so). The battery has 48Vf on it but smaller type says 5-21V. After charging, I got a little under 21V. I used for about 5 min. and the voltage went to 20.5V. So that was OK. The Lazada page says 1600W but the all Chinese flyer that came with the product says 600W. That sounds more reasonable to me but I worry about bat life. Bat says 10Ah.
  15. Sorry if already mentioned, but the one thing I wish I had done is have 1" PVC run as far as possible before downsizing to 1/2" for water distribution.
  16. Suggest you call Daikin service center. Any AC repair guy that doesn't remove the cover to check for issues doesn't sound reputable to me.
  17. Critters getting into an outside box can put a fault between L and E. Sometimes large enough to energize the ground system. After frying, the fault can go away. In my case, I had geckos in the box and anything connected to ground gave me a zing until I found and cleaned.
  18. Yah sounds very suspicious. Thais don't like to admit they don't know something, but that is something else. How old is your unit and what brand?
  19. Please quote a credible source that says gloves should not be worn when using angle grinder. That is clearly a misguided statement.
  20. I don't know if angle grinder and chain saw are "spinning things" but they will get my leather gloves every time and have saved skin by doing so.
  21. I had a much older version of this in the states. Best mower ever.
