Well, you should enlighten them if you aren't afraid of cancellation. Give 'em slack: veterans are subject to fake news just as much as the average loony liberal. That's why those you know think Biden did a great job with the Afghan withdrawal and think Walz really did retire as a Command Sergeant Major, served in a combat zone, and didn't cut and run out on his men.🙂

British National Killed in Sattahip Motorcycle Accident
BigStar replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Yeah, but what about the signs and the poles? -
Well, that's the thing about them Walking St. pizzas. You got to bring your own cheese. Then what you do is request NO CRUST as you hand over your cheese for them to mix in a bowl with the other ingredients. Presto! Yer healthy Walking St. pizza.

You using a mobile phone now? I resisted for quite some time myself. I think you'll find a lot of online shopping in other countries as well. Heard of Amazon? You could have second career as a "personal shopper." People call in an order for something, you walk 100 meters and buy it, then ship it to them. Should be a good little earner and help you get in your steps. Could be cheaper for similar quality. I've found numerous instances over the years. With online you shopping you take into account the probabilities according to the photos, description, and specs. If the product doesn't match, you return it, without walking 100 meters. How would you know that you wouldn't even know how high it is (or the load limit), if you've never engaged in online shopping? And if you of course don't, then why would you need to lie in order to buttress your point, except from lack of real conviction?

You lucked out in the gene lottery, man. Guess you aren't among the "some" I referenced.

Not really what? A liberal hack military "leader" has one vote, same as anyone else. "Rousing" all depends on perspective, of course. Reminds me of Dems naively believing and touting the former "intelligence" officials claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was just Russian info. Learn to think for yourself.

Tm47 online submission "rejected"
BigStar replied to walailak's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Happens, and they won't tell you the reason, either. I think Jomtien had a problem w/ the system for a time, 'cause I had to do 2 in a row in person. Nothing has changed in years. Last time, a couple of months ago, it worked just fine. -
SSO Medical Plan v’s the Public Health System
BigStar replied to JoePai's topic in Health and Medicine
SSO offers you a yearly one-off discount of B800 at any clinic/hsp that has the form and can be reimbursed. The two designated gov't hsps I've used in Chonburi lack serious dental facilities and advised me to go to a private clinic.🙂 -
Use both, depending on which one has what I want or the best deal. Never any problem w/ either. I think some posters are just too old and technically/reading impaired to use online ordering in Thailand effectively, except perhaps when it comes to ordering food.

Foreign Rider Killed in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash in Jomtien
BigStar replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
We've arrived at the real issue so that our many ANF Accident Investigators can assign proper blame for this accident involving innocent foreign victims. Here, yet again, both the Thai median and the Thai tree had neither license nor insurance, unlike (we just add) in the UK where laws are strictly enforced. When will they ever learn? -
Have had no problems along that line. I installed a new UPS battery from Lazada a few months ago, and it's been great. Ironically, the last UPS battery I bought from a local electrical shop died at least 6 mos before it should have. You can buy from reputable sellers on Lazada and the products are not knockoffs and priced accordingly. Supersports, for example, sells on Lazada as well as in mall outlets. Same principle applies with buying SSD drives or flashdrives, among other things often fake. Product pages usually have size charts. Occasionally, vendors state that the size is a Western size. Even so, because you likely are not going to be able to return the item, it's good to try a cheap item or two first to verify what your size is most likely to be in the Asian market here. Works pretty well. I've ordered quite a few shirts, jeans, couple of jackets from different vendors on Aliexpress w/o issue. Good thing about Thailand is that it's so cheap to alter clothes w/ your local sewing lady. I always have my jeans leg lengths adjusted after a washing.

I use CC w/o worry. Of about 700 items I've ordered over the last 8 years, FINALLY a few weeks ago, 2 of 3 of the same item didn't arrive. Not expensive. I raised a dispute with the seller. Denied, said their records show shipment of all items. Appealed to Lazada and got refund to my credit card as usual. If I'd taken delivery in person, I would have taken evidence from the delivery person. In this case, the logbook of the receiving security guard recorded that only 1 item had been delivered, so a photo of the logbook sufficed. Payment by credit card is just too convenient. I'll never go back to COD, haven't used it in years.
