  1. From my experience, if you ask politely and it seems like a real emergency, then they'll let you use the bathroom which is reserved for staff.
  2. No, because the vast majority of hot and well-bread Thai women rarely marry foreigners.
  3. Flying is miserable (maybe different in Business or First). I just accept 14h of misery and get on with it.
  4. To the OP: Contact Dasa. Email them a list (in writing, no pictures) of what you've got. They don't like walk-ins and "here take this stuff".
  5. Yes, a man should know how to use a drill.
  6. I draw the line at live squid dipped in spicy sauce.
  7. It's very easy if you're legally married. Go to district office. If your marriage is not registered, I believe your wife needs to submit some documents why you as a resident in the house want a yellow book. (That's what an ex-colleague was told.) Your district office can confirm that.
  8. I can't say about layover, but I was rebooked on a China Eastern flight because I missed my connection. It was very good (plane, food, service).
  9. Nothing in life is more important than the renewal date(s) of your visa. But if your need is so strong, then coming back on a tourist visa and restarting the marriage visa application process must be worth it.
  10. You need to see a doctor each time (but follow-up visits are much cheaper than the initial consultation that it makes little difference in price).
  11. Basically, yes. In reality, after multiple conversations in Thai with customer service, we gave up and threw the wrong and defective (yes, both) item in the garbage. The money is not worth the mental effort.
  12. Except for a few sellers who make returns deliberately difficult, it has always been a breeze. [ex: Lazada gives 48h for the seller to respond; response comes at 47hours 40minutes; and then another 10 days for the pickup to happen. ] Recently one of these bad sellers tried to bribe me with a 50-Baht coupon if I were to take down my bad review of their product/service. Of course I did no such thing.
  13. "Unfortunately, this emergency landing led to injuries of 30 passengers and the death of one." Passengers died/injured because of the emergency landing. Bad reporting, or bad translation.
  14. Yes. Each time you enter the country. (As I was informed by an officer at CW Immigration.)
  15. Work great on those pesky little gekkos too.
  16. Lots of indoor parking lots have signs to turn off the engine. Outdoors, I would and have never.
  17. Same for me, a few days ago. I put it on FB and someone took it pretty much within a few hours of posting. (And then sent me pictures two days later that it's up and running.) Give it away and someone can make some money off it.
  18. Book wheelchair service at Swampy. They're cheap and friendly. They will even wheel you around Duty Free to do your shopping.
  19. Here I thought it was Bob again and his stories. Guess there's more than one weirdo here.
  20. I'm surprised he even had a driver's license.
  21. Too limited supply in hospital stocks to be prescribed for weight loss. No way to purchase it elsewhere.
  22. If they don't provide fisherman's pants and shirt, I wouldn't go there.
  23. Too difficult to set up. I stopped trying and just pay cash at 7/11. Or just go next door to Tops Daily/etc.
  24. Get inverter A/Cs. I now use much more A/C and my bill has gone down.
  25. FB Marketplace But be aware that it's mentally draining. Even if you put all info in the sales ad, you will get swamped with people asking how much, where, condition, name/address/phone, arrange delivery etc. I'm trying to give away a laptop, wireless phone, wired phone for free and it is much more of a hassle than just putting it on the street for the guard/ maid/ garbage people to take.
