As said Hat Yai is not set up for farang, so no Soi Cowboy equivalent. As a married man I'm not your best guide to Hat Yai's freelancer scene. But the Hansa Entertainment Complex is probably worth looking at; the Sotus Pub and the other bars around it. Or head out to the student side of town and try Zounds/Zystem. Otherwise you can try your luck in music bars like 18-19 or Da-Za.
Probably worth trawling the Malaysian websites, I'm sure there's a wealth of information there on Hat Yai's bars, clubs and 'papaya' farms.
I forgot the Dark Lord Club in town, not been there, but heard it's a little more explicit.

Can you tel me how Thailand actually measures that rate anyway
I can only guess they survey so many households, and ask if anyone eligible for work is actually looking for work. As you say there is no unemployment register, because there is no unemployment benefit, or government programme to place people in work. That it is a based on a survey raises a whole heap of other questions, who and how many they actually survey, and what question they ask, being the most significant.

Does anybody know what Nationality the guilty persons were from.
The accused were local Thais, but as they were acquitted they're not guilty.

Everything else I read suggests that economically many Thais (lower income) are struggling and talking to a few small business owners recently they are definitely not happy.
Actually this is a purely statistics based ranking, it doesn't take into account what the population thinks at all.
(Inflation + Bank Lending Rate + Unemployment) - % Change in GDP = Happiness/Misery
Unemployment is low because most Thais are working hard to pay off the local loan shark, whose lending rate is significantly different to the bank one.

That's probably because they've started asking both the men and women what they think.

Will the case of the five men be re opened now?

The judge believed there was not enough evidence but at last three of them were condemned to the death penalty.
One can understand that the judge was upset and more could feel guilty for not having had the courage or the strength to refuse such an injustice.
He didn't change his verdict but acquitted the five defendants. There's a full report in the newspaper we dare not mention.

He did follow his conscience.

These were five local Muslims accused of murder, illegal association and gun-related offences. This is Yala, southern Thailand.

As the five were acquitted then the case is still open.

Went to the พระนคร (Pra Nakorn) (7.0052415, 100.4846478) last night and it's closed, looked terminal rather than temporary. No doubt another music bar will be trying it's luck shortly.
The Good Times (7.004693, 100.479537) has also closed, that was a few months back.
We ended up in Eighteen Nineteen (6.998708, 100.484454), which is still going strong, though the music wasn't so good last night.

OK, so it's a consequence of the stoopid anti-money laundering legislation, not exactly Lazada's fault.
Is it not possible to activate the wallet using a wife or friends Thai ID!?

It's only the COD option that refunds to Lazada Wallet - credit card payments refunded to your credit card.
I doubt this is designed to be a scam, it's no doubt just one of those oversights when people think these things up.
