Report IKEA Goes Cashless at Key Thai Stores Amid Mixed Reactions
radiochaser replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I was a member of Price Club before Costco bought them out in 1993. I then became a member of Costco and have shopped at stores in multiple states since then. All of them have accepted cash. -
Don't you get tired of fear mongering

" On 4/24/2025 at 11:30 PM, Harrisfan said: Y2k scam Climate scam Trump's going to start ww3 Why do people buy into these scams?" I used to be a federal government employee that was tasked to help educate the public after the scaremongering about Y2K, I will give my personal guarantee that people believed that Y2K BS. Not all people, but there were too many that did! Sort of like the people that believe the world is coming to an end if we don't get rid of SUV's. -

Doomsday predictions used to be seen on sandwich boards hanging on the shoulders of some one on a street corner. Now it's NGO's and governments of countries. -

The costco's around where I live, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, will take cash in the store. But you need a card for the gas pumps. -
"An official with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told NBC Boston that Micheroni may have received the notice because her name and contact information is on the paperwork for clients. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) authorities “used the known email addresses of the alien to send notifications”, a DHS official told the network. “If a non-personal email such as an American citizen contact was provided by the alien, notices may have been sent to unintended recipients."

US Expat in Thailand Faces 10 Years for Threatening US Senator

Be careful there ChicagoExpat, felton will accuse you of rattling on and put you on his ignore list! Oh the horror, the horror (of being on an ignore list of a spiteful & hate filled man). -
There have been U.S. of A. judges that have referenced laws of foreign countries when making legal decisions in criminal and/or civil cases in the U.S. of A. Hopefully, those judges will now consider the ruling made by the Supreme Court of the UK when making decisions regarding trans men being or not being real women.

Oh Nooooooo! I am being ignored!!! rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle. Felton Jarvis must be a wimp! I wonder if he is one of those people that are made fun, made subjects of satire, being shown in movies as a person who would put his fingers in his ears, then say na na na na na I can't hear you, na na na na ... -
Because they used to put a trunk on the back of the car when they were traveling someplace. P.S. but you could put suit cases there too.

The only amateur I would claim being right now is, amateur machinist, which is one of my hobby's. Why would I need xanax? Are you a psychiatrist that likes to drug your patients? Do you work for the U.S. Veterans Hospital. Those guys love to drug their veteran patients! Based on your angry posts and angry claims about people, I suspect that you would be better suited to taking xanax. But, perhaps I was wrong about you being a paranoid schizophrenic. You may just be paranoid as described in wikopedia: Paranoia is an instinct or thought process that is believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety, suspicion, or fear, often to the point of delusion and irrationality.[1] Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself (e.g., "Everyone is out to get me"). Paranoia is distinct from phobias, which also involve irrational fear, but usually no blame. Making false accusations and the general distrust of other people also frequently accompany paranoia.[2] P.S. Not everyone hates me. Just people like you! -
I have only had one encounter with PA fish and game officer. I was catching fish at a local park pond. I didn't know it was out of season for bass. He approached and asked if I had caught any bass. I told I did but was letting them go, I didn't want to eat any fish. He told me that was good as bass was out of season. Then he walked away.

This is the least hot Songkran I ever remember......And a bit rainy too...
radiochaser replied to redwood1's topic in Pattaya
I had to do a quick check with Google Earth, but it looks like NKP is only a few hundred feet above sea level. Chiang Mai is in the 1000 feet above sea level, it looks like, in the city proper. Elevation is well above 1000 ft in the mountains. I don't know where the picture, the guy I worked with, was taken in Chiang Mai. That was before I had been there or knew about the elevation of that part of Thailand. My only previous knowledge of Chiang Mai was knowing that there was a detachment where those of my M.O.S. worked and that it was a prized duty station. Some people in Europe reenlisted so they could go there. Technically, I wasn't supposed to be in Thailand as I only had 7 months left on my enlistment when I was transferred there (I wrote a pretty good list of BS for the transfer). Only those people that had more than a year and extended (or reenlisted) were sent there. So I finished out my enlistment at the Ramasun Station base outside of Udon Thani. I have seen snow at the 2000 ft level in California, while wearing T shirts in the San Joaquin Valley, California.
