When Willful Ignorance is a Way of Life
radiochaser replied to Walker88's topic in Political Soapbox
But he feels better about himself now. Feeling warm and fuzzy about being able to insult people he hates with the term, incel. I had to look that term up a few months ago, not knowing what it meant. Weird on that. Coined by a woman in her forum. I sort of liken it to those people that insult men who drive big trucks. We know why you drive a big truck! And those that talk about that man with the, small hands, ... if his hands are small, then his you know what must be small too! -
If you are writing about the cell phone, to be technically correct, a cellular phone is not really a "telephone". It is radio communications piece of hardware and I guess with the abilities to function as a computer. When used to make a telephone call, the device communicates with a base station (cellular tower) which interconnects you call into the local telephone system. As much as I don't like it sometimes, it really is a neat device.

Only one call today, but 8 calls yesterday, 3 on the 23rd, 6 on the 22nd, etc.

WASHINGTON — Special counsel Jack Smith on Monday filed motions to drop all federal charges against President-elect Donald Trump regarding his mishandling of classified documents and his effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the lead-up to the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S Capitol. Hours later, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan granted Smith's motion to dismiss the Jan. 6-related indictment, formally bringing to an end the case that alleged Trump unlawfully conspired to overturn his 2020 loss to President Joe Biden. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/jack-smith-files-drop-jan-6-charges-donald-trump-rcna181667

Uhhh.... This is what you brought into the topic. I merely pointed two other conspiracies that were not conspiracies but were the truth. Because you wrote, "It's just that they don't care about the consequences of their culture war and >>>> promotion of conspiracy theories. <<<<" I guess that when you wrote, "It's just that they don't care about the consequences of their culture war and promotion of conspiracy theories." , you weren't writing about republicans promoting conspiracy theories?? You know, republicans promoting conspiracy theories such as the steele dossier was fake and the hunter biden laptop was not a russian propaganda thing? P.S. I included your entire written post, because I believe that when someone edits someone else's post, then that changes the meaning of the edited post! So, if you edit your own post, leaving out the sentence "It's just that they don't care about the consequences of their culture war and promotion of conspiracy theories." then then entire meaning of your post, that you edited, has changed!

Man busted in UK smuggling cannabis from Thailand to clear debt
radiochaser replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Regarding bags being checked in the middle east (Dubai, Qatar I don't remember which). I flew from Thailand to the Middle East, on to Europe, then on to the U.S. of A. In the middle east I was notified that I needed to go to such and such counter. When I found it and identified myself, a U.S. of A. government official advised me that my bags had been checked during the transfer from one airlines to another. She then applied a sticker to the outside of my passport. She would not tell me what they had been looking for. -

You mean, when you felt vulnerable? I felt vulnerable when I was in Vietnam during 122mm rocket and 82 mm mortar attacks. Now not so much. -

In Alabama that would be a bullet shooting Smith & Wesson. Not a blank firing fake revolver. -

Yes. That sounds good to me. One thing I have found about Thailand is the good variety of good from other countries that is available. Like a restaurant serving English cuisine. I can't find that near me. e.g. I can find a Mexican (or Central American) restaurant, near my house but I can find one in Thailand that serves different menu equally as good. I found a restaurant at The Mall that serves food that is I found no where else I have been, that is delicious but definitely not Thai. I will be eating there in February. If I want Thai food, I have but to ask my wife or my sister in law.
