Cost of Australian national debt
simple1 replied to simple1's topic in Australia & Oceania Topics and Events
No prejudice on my part, just providing some info; refer below. No further reply to you. Australian Government gross debt has increased from $534.4 billion in March 2019 to $894.9 billion as of 28 October 2022. The October 2022–23 Budget forecasts further increases in gross debt to $1.159 trillion (43.1% of GDP) by the end of the 2025–26 financial year (Budget strategy and outlook: budget paper no. 1: 2022–23, p. 218). While these are the highest levels of debt on issue by the Australian Government since the 1950s, they remain well below both Australian historical peaks reached following the Second World War (p. 8) and current government debt levels held by governments in other developed countries. https://www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliament/Parliamentary_departments/Parliamentary_Library/pubs/rp/BudgetReviewOctober202223/AustralianGovernmentDebt -

Very sad, died from long term bowel cancer on his return to Oz for a Masterchef series filming whilst family were still on holiday in Italy. https://mumbrella.com.au/masterchef-australia-judge-jock-zonfrillo-passes-away-ten-postpones-season-premiere-785337

Unfortunate commentary. Glassing / bottling does occur in Oz. Acts of cowardly extreme violence which should receive severe jail sentences as should the guy in the OP. Hopefully police will not accept any pay off.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me Russians with money liaise with the political classes. It would only take a few calls to ascertain whether there is any interest for intros. e.g: https://thailand.mid.ru/ru/embassy/contacts/ CONSULATE GENERAL OF RUSSIA IN PHUKET Address: 63/501 Moo 2, Thepkasattri Road, Kohkaew, Muang, Phuket, 83000 Tel. Why not contact Russian Embassy for some intros to possible buyers.

Netflix Sued for Depicting Cleopatra as Black
simple1 replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
From Wiki... Scholars generally identify Cleopatra as essentially of Macedonian Greek ancestry with some Persian and Sogdian Iranian ancestry. This is based on the fact that her Macedonian Greek family – the Ptolemaic dynasty – had intermarried with the Seleucid dynasty that ruled over much of West Asia. -

Remember Age Pension if funded out of the annual budget. If you're a homeowner why should taxpayers fund your retirement if you have more than AUD$280k cash in savings? Australian boy, 13, spent six weeks in solitary confinement
simple1 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Solitary confinement is now viewed as a form of torture due to the emotional wellbeing impact and slowly being banned in Western countries. There is no excuse to put a child in solitary confinement. It is a smear on the Australian judicial system, IMO those responsible should be fired. Claiming PC in Australian prisons is utter <deleted>. -
I have Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. Will likely be undergoing chemo in the next few months. with prognosis of extending life for another few years before the end of life process. I am not in fear of death and have a leaning towards spirituality (based upon Vedanta) as opposed to abrahamic religion/s. I had bought a house in Pattaya for wife and I to retire, but cannot afford to live in Thailand because of cost of ongoing medical care / medicines. When I have died wife will move back to our house in Thailand to enjoy her Oz pension and extended family.

Daivobet ointment applied twice a day for four weeks. Psoriasis may reappear.

Not relevant to my circumstances

It would be illegal to import painkiller meds, unavailable in Thailand, from India.

Thanks for reply, very useful info. Your PM must have been made after I posted query on the open forum. Again thanks for your guidance - best wishes…

HMG is copying the Australian "Pacific Solution" for asylum seeker boat arrivals, which also contravenes the UN Convention for Refugees to which both countries are signatories. However, there is not an enforcement / penalty mechanism for breach of the Convention. it would be interesting to have the data for asylum seeker arrivals by air and immediately claim refugee status who are accepted for processing. Some background info... https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn01403/

Again kindly note I have Stage 4 prostate cancer. I had the operation you suggest at the same time I underwent radical prostatectomy. Hormone treatment usually only works to suppress the prostate cancer cell spread for some years. Once hormone treatment ceases to be sufficient one can progress to chemo. Chemo is effective for approx 18 / 24 months. One then progresses to the likes of Enzolutamide and eventually end of life, if not deceased from other causes.

I am stage 4 prostate cancer. I have had a radical prostatectomy, but the cancer had already spread. Lucrin is utilised to suppress testosterone, but eventually usually will also require chemo to extend life exspectancy, as is my case..

I may need to return to Thailand for economic reasons. I have Stage 4 Prostate Cancer and due to commence chemo sometime in the coming six months in addition to ongoing Lucrin injection every three months, A few years after chemo likely to require Enzalutamide tablets until end of life. Anyone able to indicate current approx cost of chemo for prostate cancer, Lucrin injections Enzalutamide and quarterly PSA tests, ideally in Pattaya area. Thanks for your feedback.

Why would EU authorise UK rejoining a Dublin Regulation agreement? Brexit was a strategic error based upon lies and misinformation. You guys are flogging a dead horse.
-
So what! HMG has withdrawn from EU, so why bother dragging up past stats regards Dublin Regulation.
