  1. It is possible that far from putting her political future in doubt this decision has ensured it. Whilst not denying that within politics, corruption occurs far too often, I think that people are becoming somewhat disenchanted with this way of disenfranchising political rivals and may well (in France at least) make their feelings apparent at the ballot box (whether that be for her or her chosen successor).
  2. Isn't the Construction Company referred to doing an enormous amount of work around Mo Chit?
  3. I do not know the processes rquired in Thailand during a major construction project but surely at several stages someone must have signed a paper saying "at this point everything is OK" (ie design, foundation etc) These people need arresting for their own protection because if corruption is suspected they are surely "loose end" targets.
  4. I guess it depends on which brain you are referring to.
  5. The American Presidency has become a Soap Opera: Tariffs on Tariffs off. Greenland in - Canada in - some hopes. Non elected personnel having access to private information and putting people out of work. Minerals for Peace. Peace on Peace off. Now sharing strategy meetings with journalists on non government. messaging app. Not what we expect from the "leader of the free world" 4 more years of this - heaven help us
  6. Yes at least 15 years ago I had an account with Cahoot ( subsiduary of Santander) I was able to create one off card numbers for online purchases - after a few years they took the option away - sometimes I think banks are on the side of the criminals!!
  7. Price tickets by weight Over a certain weight buy 2 seats
  8. I thought spliffs were now illegal if so maybe you'll be chilling out as things are getting worse
  9. I-smartlife - they have a laptop that I want (same spec) 6K cheaper than advice (on 30K). Thanks
  10. I must say at the moment I prefer living to dying and as far as dying is concerned I won't be here to worry where it is - I am afraid it is others who will have to pick up the pieces so before I go I'm trying to get as much as I can "in order"
  11. Does anyone know how long after purchase you can reclaim VAT when leaving the country?
  12. Not really - this is at several different places (Macro Tesco 7/11) in several different locations and different brands (Meiji Dutch). Today managed to get last bottle (2L) of Meiji at a Tesco > My guess is a public health issue but that's a guess or 0% has become very popular with Thais (but I doubt that).
  13. For the past couple of weeks in my area (Korat) I have been unable to buy it Anyone know if there is an issue
  14. And I always thought "Life was a bowl of Cherries"
  15. I have a knee issue that I would like to treat but what do all these initials stand for please? Thanks
  16. Many people would say Donald Trump (who you have posted about times before) was "smart" after all he became President twice - yet would you say he knows the difference between "fact" and "opinion" (and indeed stating something as a "fact" just because it served his purpose).
  17. Now there is another lovely word to argue about "smart"
  18. I agree with your point but I would change "don't accept facts" to "don't accept other people can have different opinions". The word "fact" is a minefield - "facts" change - one the most famous ones was "the world is flat" until someone proved otherwise. And in the political arena one man's fact is another man's poison!
  19. You are of course right. A serious answer to a tongue in cheek post.
  20. You see that everywhere I always check the singles price versus the "offers" and sometimes the "refill packs" are more expensive than the bottle you would refill. As one famous TV police sergeant once said "let's be careful out there" - if anyone can remember Hill Street Blues.
