Ok, misunderstood "got free ATK test at airport". Got not performed. -
Really looks good.

Yes, just downloaded a 2 GB(yte) youtube video (about one hour in 1080p) with WinX Youtube downloader. Total 1:58 min. The download as such took about 1 min (rates of 350 to 450 kBit/s, less than half of line speed). The rest of time is needed to merge video and audio. Much due to my creeping slow harddisk. All with 3BB 1000/500. Of course not all sources will download with such speeds as youtube (Google).

where to report ATK test result?

? Did I miss something. I am bit confused. You entered via Thailand pass. Doesn't that include having paid for an RT-PCR test on arrival? And normally you get the result via smartphone (both negative or positive) within a few hours or overnight. Only with the negative result you would be allowed to leave the SHA hotel. Or have you indeed got an ATK test and have seen the negative result on the test kit? -
I am not up-to-date about conditions in Germany (away too long). But as usual the #1 concern is having (mobile) internet access being able to use messengers whenever possible. Guess she has LINE and Facebook? For that a German SIM is recommended. Not sure whether LINE makes problems when changing SIM/phone number though. Telephone is last resort. Also quite expensive from the German mobile SIM to Thailand. There are multiple ways to get it cheaper with calling cards and things. But not too convenient. A bit complicated. Calling back the German number cost 5 to 7 Baht/min.

GAME OVER (for now). S7 Airlines will cease all international flights from today (March 5). They will care to return remaining passengers from Thailand somehow. Another blow to the hope for tourism revival in Thailand. https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/russias-s7-airline-announces-it-is-ceasing-international-flights-2022-03-04/

From Bangkok Bank mobile app: When first using a new number there must be some "Add to fav..." button (forgot the detail). It will then appear in the list.

ATK tests can be done at misc labs with a certificate at a cost of a few hundred Baht. Not self-test. I assume that such certificate would be required. Some businesses even provided ATK test on site (like near road checkpoints to Phuket, some airports). Don't ask me whether all this is still done (I am vaxxed), But the number of positive ATK tests results published officially has raised sharply (33085 yesterday). -

Sure I saw "Those things are sooo inconvenient." "What are they for?" No extra pay for ABS. Nicer rims please. -

Oh yes. There was a roundabout at Jomtien 2nd rd / Soi Watboon. I liked it! So much safer because they are forced to slow down. No speeding through red lights. A friend argued against and loves traffic lights. In the end roundabout removed and now he can sweat in the sun at near empty road and wait for the green. -
Wow, now I know why SMS transaction codes have been abolished in many countries. Sending a highly sensitive QR code via email?? I assume there is a bit of a security mechanism behind? And yes I know what I say. Does "swapping" say physical?

Yes no double-check. And of course you are free adding to what number you like. But don't they have a favorite list that you can build or do I mix that with Kasikorn? I do that for wife and daughter saving extra effort.

Telephone message from IMM

In most cases it is limited to foreigners living on marriage extensions. Checking whether the marriage with Thai wife is legit, living together, foreigner living at the specified address and the like. They can also ask neighbors or village headman. Some exceptions to the rule. As far as I remember some foreigners on retirement extension had also written about a visit? -

What belt? How you call that? Bloody U-turns. Cheap but deadly. (no excuse for probable speeding/sleeping Mr Sombat) -
Aside from the limited selection available so far, the poster might have problems getting his UK SIM swapped for e-sim?

And Lazada website unusable on mobile browser. Forced to (install) app. I was not able to avoid. The app is such a c.ap. Open and search for "mobile top up" and find nothing relevant. Search "mobile topup" and get endless SIM card offers.
