I searched through Twitter, Facebook and news search (also in Thai), Parts of the island are still heavy flooded. Even where the water is only spilling over the traffic is terrible, long jams. You would have to pay me a fortune to drive to the island with my car now.

Who paid for, who owns it, who will pay expensive repairs if possible at all? I almost ruined my 3 month old car in Pattaya in 2011. That's a lesson that I will not forget.

As mentioned I lost oversight about their options. That happens if a billionaire clan not only owns 7/11 franchise but also True (and much more). A country on the path to oligopoly (owned by a handful of clans).

Technical progress. Same reclassification in the EU. It was almost all "A++" (A to D?). Now not many come above "F" I am not a EU fan but this is surely better visualized then here.

New rule for cash deposit machines from November 15th
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Depends on bank and type/services of the account. I pay 200 Baht per year at SCB and Bangkok Bank. At Kasikorn I pay 200/year plus 20 Baht/month for a full/all event SMS service. What a terrible world-record rip-off ???? -
From our older fridge: (and here the color coding is questionable. The better the greener would make more sense not "red alarm"????)

I have no idea why they use this visualization. As far as I remember in the past it was simply like a clockwise meter (1-2-3-4-5).

Forget the stars, make your own???? Second one has bigger volume (258 liter vs 208 liter) and less power consumption. Just do math: volume/power consumption. The higher the number the better. For the second one: 258.5/269 = 0.96 First: 208/369 = 0.56 Much worse. Rule of thumb Volume in liters equals power consumption per year: very good one.

I'll lead Tories into next election, says embattled Liz Truss

Allow me to put a big laughter on that even though I am not from the UK. I naively hoped that the UK would come out from Brexit strong and healthy as an example ???? -

New rule for cash deposit machines from November 15th
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes some banks still do. I get around with cardless withdrawal. Requires Internet banking on smartphone. No fee nationwide. -
New rule for cash deposit machines from November 15th
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Nothing new/change for me. Always used banks debit card to deposit money. No fee of course. Didn't even know that it can be done anonymously. Much ado about nothing. -
I can't comment what I would like. Just look at the shirtless p.o.s. and draw your own conclusions.

I read too much in this forum and can't recall anything about another 5%. And the outcry would have been tremendous. As a preparation you should open an account with WISE (wise.com). Costs nothing. Then as above: open a Thai bank account. Can be more or less easy. Take as much cash with you as you feel comfortable with.

Not too many Thai customers in a convenience store will have a credit card. But cash only? Then you missed something. A lot of payment options with smartphone and/or ID card (QR code for banking app whatever) Lost oversight.

What is this symbol on my phone screen?
KhunBENQ replied to Puccini's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
There is another hint on the net that the symbol would appear if "Safe Browsing" is enabled? I can not reproduce that. Do you have any internet safety related SW installed? Virus scanners and the like? -
What is this symbol on my phone screen?
KhunBENQ replied to Puccini's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
That's exactly the symbol that appears when I connect with my VPN (NordVPN). Open this site on your mobile browser: https://iplocation.com What does it say about country and organization? -

Which Pre-Paid SIM Card for the North-East (Nan etc.)
KhunBENQ replied to henrik2000's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Both AIS and DTAC has all relevant information in English. I don't see a noteworthy difference. DTAC is often considered more "foreigner related" because of the ownership/management.
