  1. Take care not to stretch it too far. No cigarettes, no alcohol over the limit. Food and appliances are less severe with tax or fine. At these still quite times the chance might be higher to be checked?
  2. Thanks for the effort. It's amazing how they throw out a complete new terms/conditions without any comments what's new or changed. Very different in other countries. And the record holder for new terms/conditions: SCB Feels like every month they throw out another version.
  3. And it's too much for them to do a PCR test before departing which would allow them to walk free?
  4. At least you are not alone. Lots of complaints since months about these. You seem to run your own mail server/client? And I thought 18 spams this morning looking through my webmail was much. McAfee subscription, last reminder... very stubborn.
  5. "Police warn public about leaving the engine running" So true!! And not just warn but fine. Easy money walking the car parks. It annoys me on almost every shopping trip to experience the running pickups/cars (empty). What a disgrace. Served the owner well. The thief should have crashed it.
  6. Weather is coming back to normal here. Hot BUT during March early and plenty of rain, beginning of April cold! Some of "coldest" days people remember. With greetings from China. For me this year is NOT hotter than usual. Tomorrow the sun peaks over Bangkok (89.9 at 12:15). From previous years I remember the alarming messages about peak electric power usage for this day. Nothing seen so far. BTW for the next few days a slight cool down expected. EDIT: just noticed that there is news thread exactly confirming: "Sun will be directly over Thailand on Wednesday, but not the hottest day"
  7. Indeed. AirAsia 2 to 3 flights per week. One arriving 20:15 (8:15 PM)! VietJet shows a daily flight.
  8. Soi Chaiyaphoon far from a place for a foreign laborer. "tourist", showed recent ATK, mustard... Quite poor that the staff does not have a copy of ID. And sure another place that does not care about registering a foreigner. Going strict they should be fined.
  9. https://play.google.com (the www. link does not work for me)
  10. A justified question as the OP had Play Store earlier. New Huawei devices are subject to US sanctions and may not use Play Store and other Google stuff.
  11. I have browser bookmarks for "View New Content" and "Content I Posted In". (although no problems with the link on the site) https://aseannow.com/discover/24/ https://aseannow.com/discover/content-posted/ Many roads lead to Rome.
  12. That was the word I forgot. Same in other languages.
  13. There are some videos in Thai language (mute if you prefer). It looks like dismantling the whole instrument starting with unscrewing the speedometer cable. When you have unmounted the instrument the screws are below. Some special screw driver involved ("star" screws? no idea how it's called in English). See yourself, hope it helps.
  14. Can't tell for iHerb but for another company: it transits through Frankfurt where it is taken by DHL and delivered here by the Thai post. But the origin in my case was in NJ, US. And last shipment was fast. Ordered Feb 24, received Mar 3.
  15. You were faster! Definitely this is the opening of the season! Back to normal. Now waiting for: robbed at the nightly beach walk with 5000 Dollars, 30000 Baht, Rolex and some diamond ring. That lady was quite strong.
  16. After 3 years the registration is cancelled. Recently I managed to do it three months before that for a granddaughters scooter. They just don't care. Compulsory insurance and tax has to be paid back for the missed time-span. (plus some 1% per month in interest) I paid some 1600 Baht for that scooter (incl inspection fee).
  17. Well there is little doubt that the CCSA meeting conclusions have been translated correctly. Formally it is in effect not before published in the Royal Gazette. Very little chance that the basics will change. (CCSA is headed by Mr. Big P.) I see it in misc Thai news outlets among them PBS. Translated headline: "Prime Minister announces cancellation of Test&Go - open country in full on May 1"
  18. Next milestone July 1st? Enter endemic status and drop all restrictions for entertainment, gatherings etc.
  19. But seemingly not from May 1st. Still pseudo restaurants but until midnight. Add some Thai time factor and it will be ? 1 AM? What I am interested in: what do the blue spots (special tourist zone?) imply? Udon Thani seems among those.
  20. The limits for negative interest (nice wording) becomes lower and lower. Some banks go down to 5000 Euro. Thanks to the bangsters at ECB driving large parts of financial and insurance businesses to the wall. Zero interest at 7% inflation.
  21. I saw this bad news for breakfast (in German language). I'll try to find it on the web... Well hidden It appeared like a popup on the smartphone app. Sending 2000 EUR will cost me about 1.20 EUR more (as far as I remember). And yes, and only holding up to 3000 EUR will be free.
  22. The thread is from Monday. I read that tomorrow (Thursday April 21) the Department of Disease Control will meet. They give proposals based on expert/medical assessment. On Friday(!) "the powers that be" (CCSA) will meet. Led by big wise man Mr. P. Cross your fingers that they do not again use the sledgehammer to crash any hope for easing of rules.
  23. The key to silence is getting the "right" room away from the road. For Opey de Place, Areca, Nature View I can assure you that you find a quiet night. Except for the chance of some drunken idiots slamming doors, shouting at their girl etc. That's what you are never safe from.
