  1. Don't tell anybody That was the reason why immigration urged consulates to check documents for the affidavit. Seems NZ didn't take that serious while other consulates simply stopped issuing.
  2. If your home country and IDP do not have any motorcycle entry then the legal way would be to do it from scratch (as I did in 2017). The practical "driving test" is a joke. The hurdle is the multiple choice theory test. Much seems to have changed since then so my catalogue and experience is probably worthless. In Pattaya getting an appointment also seems to require patience. Can't comment on "shortcuts", you would have to ask agents what is possible or not. They would likely also help with the official path for a price.
  3. The amount is given in Canadian Dollar? German honorary consul in Pattaya also does affidavits and he didn't write that I have to fill any form. Documents (pension letter, account statements) seem enough. And it's not for free (about 1400 Baht).
  4. You could either read that hotspot is totally prohibited or is just within the "fair usage" rules. As written mine works.
  5. Just checked on Lazada and see much higher prices. Confused for now. Maybe they are now 5G capable while for mine (May 23) it was explicitly stated that it is 4G no matter what is printed on the package. 5G is not necessary for the typical application and data rates but now seems a good money maker. But still on the AIS website and no mention of mobile hotspot prohibited? https://www.ais.th/one-2-call/sim-netmarathon/en/
  6. Mine works fine as mobile hotspot. Sharing from my mobile and checked on my notebook which is now on AIS and has no SIM. Download 45.7 Mbit/s, upload 8.41. Numbers much due to fairly weak AIS signal in the home.
  7. And Suvarnabhumi(!) simply vanished from the list. How useful/reliable is such a site?: https://www.rainviewer.com/radars/thailand.html
  8. Maybe the enormous rains over the Indian Ocean make it to you
  9. You are right, 1590. Alzheimer comes closer and closer
  10. For me they don't promise to much. Saturday in Udon Thani, 4 PM dark sky, rain starts and not stop until late night. Back home Sunday morning. Some rain during the day. Now heavy downpour, short power cuts, the usual stuff.
  11. I have one a one year Marathon, 70 GB/month, theoretical max speed 300 Mbps (4G max). Cost 1890 (Lazada. activated/registered at local Telewiz shop). Works fine and for my on the road/out of the house I never even come close to 70 GB. "overpaid" in a way, 30 GB would likely be enough for my use.
  12. I remember this CIQ "side exit" when walking to baggage claim after leaving a domestic flight. It's hard to overlook.

DLT or asking for an "agent"?
  14. Some posters will never stick to the topic. Give up!
  15. Until last March I never saw a private big bike on M7 and M9. Also can't say whether legality has changed.
  16. To my opinion they were on the frontage road of motorway 7. The 2nd picture in the article (link) is taken toward the direction of travel and the fence is to the right. If you travel M7 you have the fence to your left. This fence separates the frontage road from the actual motorway. They wouldn't have come far on M7 with a 125cc. What other way than breaking through a toll station and highway police has faster bikes. I have seen a lot but not this. The only two wheelers I saw are highway police big bikes. Speeding on this frontage road is extra dangerous. Full of heavy trucks, often jams/slow moving "convoys".
  17. My "foreign..." count in the post is 9 (nine)! So that nobody can overlook it.
  18. National forklift championships ????
  19. Yes they go to Bangkok for the vibrant city life and cultural experience. They go to Pattaya for the beach life and islands.
  20. That comes close to what I would suggest. Come and see the nature. As others write, the cities are somewhat similar and not too interesting to spend a lot of time. Chiang Khan skywalk overlooking Mekhong over to Laos. Khao Yai at the entrance to Isaan is worth. Petchabun is nice although just west of Isaan. For the parks, waterfalls, Mekhong etc. it much depends on your date of travel. Can either be crowded like mad or waterfalls drying out, Chinese cutting Mekhong low you can almost walk over. Four weeks is really too much for just this region. You could consider doing a whole Thailand round-trip in this time. Do you have experience with driving in Thailand?
  21. Illegals are an easy task for extortion. Should be "happy" if he is not get caught:
  22. And SMS messages miraculously vanished from her phone. Incompetent or corrupt. The effect is the same. Multi billion tax payer Euros wasted to fatten Pfizer.
  23. Successfully dumped the shelf warmer before expiry date. Pfizer shot in Germany popular like a kick in the shin. Huge scandalous multi billion contracts of EU with Pfizer. Millions of doses will rot. Compensation payments for non buying expected.
  24. I was not enthusiastic to see one granddaughter coming with this. Tastes differ ????
