Why didn’t they stop him at entry if he was on a notice? Either Israel was late entering in the data, or Thailand just missed it. At least they got him in the end.

Another individual with outstanding arrest warrants and an Interpol green notice and yet he waltzed into Thailand legally. Why aren’t any basic checks done when people try to enter?

In this case the policy was only enforced at the request of a foreign country. The policy was ineffective in stopping entry in the first place. Save for the request by the Israeli authorities, I bet his visa would have been extended.

If one tracks the recent headlines regarding the sterling exploits of these Israelis in LOS, it is hard not to admire the rather impressive degree of criminal energy this particular tribe manages to field.

Well done Thai immigration and others involved in apprehending this fugitive. As a side note, he's only 20. Shouldn't be in the IDF completing his national service? Or maybe he forged documents to get him out of serving?

Well, you need to dig a little deep...Just look at New York and Russian Jews that started to move there in the 1800's. And if you look at Israel, you gonna see the same pattern. I know this post will be flagged and I will be damned to boil in excrement.

Well it's definitely not politically correct to criticize Israel these days. Over a billion dollars a year in lobbying efforts makes that so.

And for those that can't see the difference between black and white and don't seem to be able to comprehend shades of grey, any criticism of Israel is considered Jew hating and anti-semitic, which most of us know is not only completely ridiculous but downright pureile and juvenile.

In the past week there have been multiple criminal acts reported on in this forum. The criminal activity primarily involved Europeans including UK nationals. This is the first mention of an Israeli. More importantly, the Israeli is not accused of criminal activities in Thailand. Appears to me that you and some others are consumed with blind hate. Why else would you ignore the salient facts?

The arrest took place (after his) visa had been revoked following a request from Israeli authorities. The Israeli Public Security Office had formally requested cooperation from Thai authorities to locate and deport Niki Soko to face prosecution in Israel. Investigators found that Soko had entered Thailand legally and that his permission to remain in the country had not yet expired.

You and the usual collection of bigots are quick to pounce on the nationality of the arrested person, but ignore the fact that he was not in violation of his Thai visa and it was Israel that asked that he be arrested and deported. When was the last time the UK or the EU did similar? If they did, Patong would not be inundated with French and UK petty criminals and Pattaya dripping with wanted European bike gang members.

A trail of corruption and trouble with the local people wherever they go. I used to go to Pai several times a year no longer. The influx of Israelis has ruined the place. They are extremely rude and act as if they own the place. The locals are fed up with them and can't wait to see their backsides...
