This family has obviously chosen not to heed the message from their Embassy to adhere strictly to local laws to avoid facing severe legal penalties.

Quite amazing, as it follows a recent announcement from Phuket authorities planning to intensify enforcement actions against foreign residents and tourists!

Well the one supplying the incriminating CCTV recordings gets the upper hand.

Some do it because they can...quite rich tourists used to be well known for shoplifting in London.

Clearly ignored their Embassy alert warning.

I watched the video three times and either it's my eyes or the video quality but I couldn't see the merch being put into bags.

But the context of the behaviors does certainly appear to be guilt.

It's shameful to get kids involved in that though their rationale is probably what are you gonna do, it's just kids.

I'll break the ice to say that the sweets were promised to them 2000 years ago.

It seems like this wave of low class behavior started with the Swiss doctor kicker and the guy who attacked a Thai woman for mistakenly pushing his grocery cart. Been gradually getting worse and worse as the flood gates opened over the past few years. Thanks, Srettha--hope you filled up all those unsold condos.

It remains unclear whether the store intends to pursue legal action or whether compensation for the missing items was later offered. Phuket officials have repeatedly urged foreign visitors to respect Thai laws and local customs as tourism numbers continue to recover.
