The woman who has been accused of marrying a dozen men and fleeing with all the dowries was presented to the public for the first time at a press conference today.

 

At the Crime Suppression Division, police announced that Jariyaporn Buayai, 32, was involved with several fraud cases, had conned people all over the country out of money, and the investigation had only just begun.

 

“The marriages are parts of several fraud cases, such as deceiving people into buying plots of land. The suspect did not use any complicated techniques [in tricking the victims], she just kept doing the same thing in different regions,” said Pol. Lt. Gen Thitirat Nonghanpithak, commander of the Central Investigation Bureau.

I just don't understand what is the crime here.

With all the money she made she could have escaped to Dubai!

The whole country is up on arms when a Thai woman takes Thai men

to the cleaners, but not a word when same is done to a unsuspecting farangs husbands and boyfriends on a daily

bases, and not just by a 100K of so, but by the millions, properties and all....

Criminals (even unconvicted ones) have no rights in this country (unless they are wealthy and connected). The cops particularly, the prosecutors, the judges can do whatever they like and make up the rules and ignore/interpret the law as it suits them.

Really just having any taste/standard in women would have kept these men safe.  She is stocky, old, and rather ugly and warty, nothing unusual in that if you have seen what a lot of foreigners in Thailand are happy to link up with nowadays..  'I love you', it's amazing how readily these words will waft from your Thai girl's lips when her monthly stipend is due, and she can go and buy more crap from Central, and send some cash to her 'real' boyfriend.

Here in the USA, we have an entire industry of country music singers who sing about that. But they make it sound just a bit better.  Not sure who is on the short end of the stick, but it doesn't really matter.

It is a part of our makeup that some individuals live by what most would regard as a bankrupt set of morals. Whether its a wife, a house, a meal or a politician, it is always about buyer beware. As to remorse, actions not words is what is revealing.

The Ministry has announced that there will no longer be double-bagging due to pollution in the Bay of Thailand.   That should stop this tomfoolery, pronto.

In an unrelated announcement, all beer goggles must be shade 3 or lighter.  Shade 5 goggles are definitely out.

She looks like crap for 32.  But I guess she's full of love and something else too.  I pity the guys who fell for her scam.  They must be terribly lonely.

As one of my friends told me a bar girl he knew was justifying telling all these falangs  that she loved them with all her heart.  Then she added. "Lucky for me I have many hearts."
