PHUKET: The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation confirmed yesterday (Sept 8) that they had sent a blood sample for the crocodile recently captured in the Bang tao area for DNA testing.

It is hope the test results will be returned in two weeks and will determine which species the crocodile belongs to. So far officials have had difficulty determining the species through physical examinations of the crocodile (see story here and here).

The results of DNA testing will deterred wether or not it gets skinned and eaten ?

Or the results may just be determined as more croc sh%t

DNA testing results returned in a couple of weeks seems  a long time, KT DNA testing took a couple of hours if i recall!

Or, they will lose the DNA sample, and then just tell the croc what species it is, and therefore, what crimes it has committed.  :whistling:
