JT65
Hi All My multiple entry "O" marriage visa has expired. Before it expired i did do a border run to Mae Sai and got the last 3 months stamp i was allowed. It runs out on the 18th September. Is it possible to go to Immigration and get a further one month extension prior to it finishing on the 18th Sept? If so how much does it cost and are there any requirements other than taking your passport and marriage docs? Also is another option to go out at the border at Mae Sai before the 18th and get a one month tourist visa? I will be going to Savanakhet although not ready yet as i have other people who wish to go in another 3 weeks with me, so its worth me waiting as can save on fuel costs etc. Any help appreciated. ubonjoe
You could apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife if married to a Thai or are a parent of a Thai. There is no other extension possible. You could get a 30 visa exempt entry (it is not a tourist visa) at Mae Sai.

PoorSucker
Get the 60 day extension at immigration for 1900 baht. You can get two visa exempt entries by land per calendar year.

I was worried that once i went over the border there, they would refuse a visa exempt entry due to me having normally been on Non Imm " O " marriage visa. Looks like its fine. Will this affect me when i eventually drive to Savannakhet for the new One Year " Non " O " multiple entry visa?
