Superrich Pattaya.

Anyone knows where I can find a Superrich money changer around Pattaya. I was in Central Festival last Saturday but they seem to have moved. I would like to exchange a bigger amount of Euro's into Thai baht. Or any other suggestions like TT or Yenyit? Don't really want to do it on the street. Where get the best rate in Pattaya?

Thank you all.

There was one (now closed) in Central Beach Festival, and never been so many exchange booths in Pattaya than today !

Sad to hear . Must be people don't know where to go to get the best rates. Banks are ... well you know .

worth noting that the super-rich branches away from the head office branch  near pratatum/the big C opposite central world trade BKK are franchises and the rate is not as good quite as good as in the main branch

https://www.superrichthailand.com/#!/en/contact#branch

In Jomtien I find Yenjit reasonably competitive here:

https://www.google.co.th/maps/@12.8794618,100.892464,3a,75y,197h,91.82t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sl9mJ1MpmAVgPJqGijEQuqw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

But TT exchange not far behind and more branches. For larger amounts you can sometimes negotiate a slightly better rate especially if you speak a little Thai.

There was a "Superrich" in Central World about a year ago (last seen).

It was near the elevator. Don't remember the floor.

But don't be fooled.

The rates were less than impressing. Maybe a "fake" Superrich.

And the changers in Pattaya like TT come very close to Superrich in Bangkok.

It's usually in the 5 to 10 Satang range per Dollar/Euro.

One booth in Soi Diana tends to lead the pack by 5 Satang.

(but that's openly "on the street")

It's this one:

But as written it might be worth to negotiate with a manager for real big sums to squeeze out a few Satang.

I am certain that TT has at least one place where you can go inside.

Maybe someone can help out where that is.

Before walking around check todays rates here:

Unfortunately some missing like TT.

Do you have big Euro notes (100 and up)?

Uninformed people will never become extinct.

You can always watch people selecting the bank with the worst rate even when the better one is next door.

And this even applies to young "hipsters"/backpackers (I recently had the displeasure to spend two days on Khao San road).

There is a TT on soi 5 or 7 in Jomtien that is inside it's  small and you may not be alone, it's up some steps and off the street (don't forget your passport) it's as private as possible but not totally.

Never needed ID there.

Thats amusing because i have literally posted the same on a FB group 3 minutes ago about the TT and Kasikorn kiosks between soi 7 and soi 8 on Beach rd 10 metres apart. The TT rates outstrip every currency but still they queue up at Kasikorn

I doubt there ever was a legit Superrich in Pattaya, and even more there ever was a Central World.

If you want to know you can check the Superrich website, where al the branches are listed, and see if the one you consider legit is there.

Answers on a postcard.

do they even still exist

Yes, travellers cheques still exist. For someone staying in a hostel or dorm  (backpackers?) with a bunch of strangers they offer great security. They are pricey to exchange in Thailand; I don't know about other countries.

Sharp eye.

Central Festival on Beach rd. of course.

Superrich at Central Festival as of 2014.

Good that I don't have hallucinations yet.

In the corner where the elevators are.

Can't tell whether it's still there.

Watch from about 20 sec.

I've live in CM before and am familiar with SuperRich. There is none in Pattaya. The best rates are at T.T.  These are all yellow painted shops or booths. Best rates in town. Several on Second Road and Beach Road.

TT on second road on the left near soi 13 'point something' has large walk in booth . Also accepts driving license as ID . btw The closer the buy and sell rates are to each other  ... the better the deal for you/me . eg If there is 10 baht difference between buy and sell rates  (For GB pounds) .. you know you havnt left the UK yet ..
