Hi, I know this subject has been done over, but just need to clarify, I'll be going to Phuket Immigration tomorrow to get my 1st retirement extension. Can you advise what document are required. I'll be showing the 800k in the bank. Do I need to get a medical cert?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Tony

A completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Download, complete and print two sided this Fillable TM7 form.pdf .

Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

A letter from your bank confirming your account and the balance in it. A printed out bank statement (Phuket requirement) and copies of your updated bank book.

A photo of you showing the house/room number of your residence (Phuket requirement).

Also, can you confirm the cash has to be in the bank for 2months for the 1st time?

I can confirm that is true according the national laws. Don't know specifically whether Phuket follows them but I reckon they do in that case.

Keep in mind though a very important detail that has tripped up some people in the past. The seasoning rules are based on the date of APPLICATION for retirement extension, not the date of expiration of your current permission to stay!

It is 60 days on the date you apply for the first extension. Then 3 months for the 2nd one onward.
