Problem with my email address

i have another issue which might be connected.

my old password (number of 6 dots). i would then tick the box below for hotmail to remember my password. so i wouldn't have to manually enter my new password. But now every time i sign in to hotmail. it brings up my old password of 6 dots. it does not remember my new password. which are now 9 dots. Why?

The "It" that remembers your password it your web browser.  The passwords are stored there in the order they are recorded.

You'll need to go into the browser settings, security, and delete the previously stored password.

On the other hand, if you are using a 3rd Party pasword vault, then make the necessary correction there.

And, no, those issues are NOT connected.
