It was reported that after the bodies were eaten they were forced by desperation to eat the airline meals.

So all the heinous crimes over the last 2,000 years of religions such as Christianity, Catholics, Islam, Buddha, (and many others),  which include, (or have included), systematic torture, murder, bestiality, deaths by burning, hanging, drowning, suffocation, poisoning, chemical warfare, not to mention a far ranging list of other ingenious methods of slaughter devised by man for religious purposes, has actually taught us as human beings to "elevate from the animal state?"

 

Please enlighten me as to which species of animal, apart from the human race, participates in such horrific practices.

I need no religion or epiphany to teach me how to live a true way of living to the highest standard, nor have I ever needed religion to stop me behaving like an animal (though it may have come in useful in the past at 2am on a Saturday morning in Crazy Horses). Back to a serious note, why do you consider that man is so shallow that he needs a book or lessons from an imaginary friend to show him how to live a righteous life.

 

Their is nothing at all righteous about the Abrahamic God, nor do the teachings of the old testament and its equivalent in the other monotheistic religions do anything to instil a desire to live a good life, all they do is instil fear of consequence if you don't lead a life that some guy on a mountain with a burning bush thought was a good way to live in a battle torn primitive landscape 3500 years ago, as he scratched down his ramblings whilst under the influence of the popular ancient Egyptian hooch. We do not know what Moses was like but we see the modern day equivalents. Billy Graeme, Jimmy Swaggert and all the other conmen should not be given the time of day, yet they have huge followings that give huge dollars in exchange to be close to someone who claims to speak to God. Moses was no different only there were no private jets and green backs, but plenty of goats, camels and virgins. Same same only different.

 

Religion or lack of it does not excuse these animals, and what they appear to have done is not one bit different to the pain and torture inflicted on the innocent by the 'men of God' in the Inquisition. This is NOT a situation where religion has any place as it would not have stopped it and some could argue has caused it. If you wish to follow the teachings of Buddha then do so, but it is a private journey and those that want to take that journey should seek it and not be solicited to join it by the equivalent of a Religious travel agent.

 

Lock these two up for ever and let natural selection take its course. The evil shall not inherit the earth or anything else for that matter in the long run.

In parts of Borneo & New Guinea , they mostly eat the losers of tribes they fight with. The Russians just use the modern day equivalent : losers on dating sites : "It’s believed the pair found their victims via lonely hearts websites."
