20% bus fare discount Oct 25-29 for people attending royal cremation ceremonies

 

The Transport Company, the state-run operator of intra-provincial buses, will offer a 20% discount bus fares for people travelling from their home provinces to Bangkok to attend the royal cremation ceremonies at Sanam Luang between Oct 25-29, said company general manager Jirasak Yaowatchakul.

 

Mr Jirasak said the 20% discount is for buses running from provinces more than 300 kilometres from Bangkok.  The discount will be effective from 00.01 hours on Oct 25 to 24.00 hours on Oct 29.

 

The 20% discount will also be applied to two short routes between Bangkok-Saraburi and Bangkok-Ayutthaya on Oct 26, the royal cremation day, only.
