Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has information on the Thailand Consulate in Bali. Is it open and accepting applications?

I tried calling them to no avail, would appreciate any up-to-date information.

Thanks,

Robert

Not answering the phone is not the best indication of the place being closed. Try a local instead I guess to find out.

They are open as far as I know.

They posted on their Twitter page on the 25th about the volcano . https://twitter.com/RTCatDPS

Not answering the phone at the Denpasar consulate doesn't mean anything. The gate being  closed during opening hours there doesn't mean anything either: It is just shophouse , the tiniest consulate I have ever seen. Was there 3 times and every time I was the only applicant there. You just shout and somebody comes out of the back and opens the gate, one time even outside visiting hours.Mount Ayung is just too far away for it to effect business in Denpasar.

if i hear anything, i will post the update here.

I have a suggestion. Find the location on Google Map. See if there is a Baskin Robins or McDonald's nearby and call them and ask them if you could trouble them for some errand. Pretend you are a 90 year old needing help. Get it?

You're welcome. These days nobody gives a damn, emails etc pretty useless, unless the person receiving them is Ubonjoe or JackThompson or BritTim.
