snoop1130
Ratchaburi begins round-up of stray dogs after car damaged By The Nation Photo : Mam Phoe Dam Facebook Ratchaburi livestock officials and troops tried to round up stray dogs in the downtown area following complaints of local residents and a recent incident in which the dogs mauled and damaged a car. The operation used needles with strong sedatives to catch the dogs in Mueng district at 10am. It succeeded in capturing only two dogs on Friday. Officials said they might take up to seven days to round up all the stray dogs in the downtown area due to the large number of connected alleys that make escape easy. Local residents complained that the stray dogs in the area are aggressive and often chased motorcyclists, leading to at least two fatal accidents. The accident that led to the round-up efforts happened at 3am Tuesday when a pack of dogs mauled and damaged the car of Somnuek Semkham, 35 who parked it in front of her boarding house. The officials said the captured dogs would be monitored in cages for seven days, after which they would be released into a shelter for stray dogs in Muenag Ratchaburi municipality. dfdgfdfdgs
Shoot them and sell the corpses to the Vietnamese. These things live a pitiful existence and are a pest. If you can't kill them, at least neuter them.

vadid
Stray dogs bite people, spreading rabies, no problem. Damage a car, they've had it.
BigBadGeordie
A great move, deal with the important issues first. Then move onto, traffic management, street violence, gun law etc.etc. As for Human Rights, education, the dreaded D word and the E word, sometime after May 2019.....Perhaps

otherstuff1957
So, two fatalities and no action.... One damaged car & it's time to round them up. I don't quite understand the decision making here!
bushwacker
They spent the day trying to catch the dogs and successfully got 2 dogs. Wow! Hmm ... dogs travel in packs. Dogs are territorial. Dogs are aggressive. Dogs destroy cars. (Can you imagine what they could do to children.) But we could only find 2 of them and we got them! 100 % success rate for the day. Good work. I don't quite understand the decision making here! Let me explain it: Local government doesnt give a rats *ss about anything besides money and power. The only reason they jump into action now is because the lady had a video clip of it happening and it was uploaded onto social media. The ne could lead to government officials losing power (being put into nonactive post, replaced, someone brought in to oversee them) so theycome into action. If there was no video clip it wouldnt go "viral" and nothing would have happened (see the lethal accidents mentioned). Hundreds of similar examples happening here. Social media is a huge thread to the people in power which is why there are such absurd computer crimes laws and defamation laws.
