EDINBURGH (Reuters) - Britain's struggles to chart a way out of the European Union are boosting the case for Scottish independence, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said on Sunday, but she shied away from committing to a date for another referendum vote.

COX'S BAZAR, Bangladesh (Reuters) - At least 12 Rohingya Muslim refugees, mainly children, drowned when their boats capsized on the way to Bangladesh, police said on Monday, the latest victims of violence in Myanmar that has forced more than half a million people from their homes.

PHUKET: A newborn baby boy is currently in the care of Patong Hospital after being found dumped in a local launderette yesterday.

Pichit villages and farms flooded by mountain runoff

Six villages in Tambon Wang Lum of Phichit’s Taphan Hin district were submerged on Monday morning following a flood from Phetchabun Mountain Range’s forest runoffs. Residents of some 300 affected homes were in need of aids.

DNA test inconclusive as to whether Toyota Camry transported former PM

 

BANGKOK, 9 October 2017 (NN) – Thailand's Office of Police Forensic Science has indicated the results of DNA tests of samples, collected from a car alleged to have been used to transport former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, are still inconclusive due to contamination and that a second test will take place to ensure accuracy.
