Mailing from Thailand to USA...

Featured Replies

I got my Brother one t-shirt for $5.00 but when I went to the Thai post office to mail it out, I was told it would be 300 baht...to ship by air.

So is there a cheper way to mail anything to the USA?

What does the T-shirt weigh?

200 grams?

I used the Thailand post calculator and see some much cheaper options.

http://www.thailandpost.co.th/index.php?page=rate_result&country_code=US&weight=200

"Int’l Small Packet-Air" sounds plausible(?) and would cost 126 Baht.

"Int’l Small Packet-SAL" another option(?) 96 Baht.

Guess you have to ask "harder" for "mai paeng" (not expensive, cheap).

Send it with someone who is flying back.

just tell them to ship it normal. tom ma da

i ship things to usa a lot. to ohio.

I would think you can not ship it "normal" as it has to be flown to US.

By theory there should still be "ship"ment in it's original meaning (would take many weeks)?

Not sure though.

But have a look at the list linked in post #2 and you will see that there are different priced options that include air transport ("SAR").

on the average 10-15 days for me, and it  goes by air. tell them the cheapest way to send. even if you pay extra for 4-6 days it will not get there believe me, 10-15 days. unless you ship it ups or fedx, then it will cost you an arm and leg,, good luck. thats the only way i know. and for them to ship something here, tell them to get an international envelope , that is if they send something small. they have 2 sizes and dont matter the weight, as much as you can fit in that envelope and it is a flat rate 7 bucks, and 14 bucks, if i remember right

?

You are aware it's about a shipment from Thailand to the US?

In this context I don't understand the "bucks"?

Similar applies to the OP. Guess it was about 160 Baht? (5 $).

i'm meaning people sending things too from usa, bucks ( dollars )
