As a father of small children myself, I find it quite disconcerting that these men have been allowed out to roam the streets of Pattaya and live amongst the community for another 3 months before their trial date in mid-June. The fact that they have been found with iic confirms their strange interest in children and therefore they should be kept well away from them.

Unbelievably (according to a reliable source), during the last 4 months, whilst the DSI, RTP and others have been conducting their ongoing investigations into the activities of these two strange men, one of the other residents in the same housing development (of dubious sexual orientation himself) had taken it upon himself to try to discredit one of the child witnesses and conducted a campaign to try to get other neighbours to ostracise the child in the hope that the child would withdraw from the case causing it to collapse.
Why the Witness Protection people or RTP did not respond and do their job in this respect either is also disconcerting. The man should have been arrested and made an example of.

This business of non-intervention by the RTP or the Witness Protection Office in respect of blatant interference with a key witness is another worrying aspect of this case.
If the relevant authorities fail to act when informed of such activities, what is the point of their existence?
And, if other children see that they are likely to be subjected to such perscution if they are brave enough to come forward and speak about their molestation by an adult, then chances are that they will stay silent. Of course, this is what such perverts play on and are thus able to get away with such things a lot of the time. Many children do not even realize that they are being groomed by such men when they are touched by them.
It's a sad thing that we should have to warn our kids not to even trust our friends neighbours too much, but perpetrators of such crimes so often turn out to be people whom we previously trusted.

As you will have gathered, I am very angry at the lack of proper law enforcement in Thailand when it comes to protecting ordinary members of the public from those who do harm.

The RTP spend far too much of their time trying to nab motorcyclists not wearing helmets or car drivers not wearing seat belts (when those people are only really risking harm to themselves) but old diesel trucks and coaches belching out black smoke (which harm us all) are turned a blind eye to.

I have long realized that many things do not make much sense here in the Land of Smiles, but I still get exasperated by the illogical actions of those in authority or lack of proper action on their part in respect of certain important issues.

I can understand the turning of a blind eye to the activities of the Go Go bars in Walking Street provided that everyone involved is over the age of eighteen and are consenting adults, but any sexual activity whatsoever involving minors should be clamped down on hard and the perpetrators immediately black-listed and deported without delay.

From the Thai report:

The first suspect was found at house 556/15 Moo Thanyawat Home Town 5, Naklua, Banglamung, Chonburi, where Uwe Erich Donflein, 53, lives. The officials then searched for evidence that was relevant to the case.  DNA samples of Uwe Erich Donflein were collected, verified and compared with the evidence.

In the same village with house number 556/7, 60-year-old German, Ludwig Wolf Rudiger was found and his house was searched for further evidence. Initially, a camera, mobile phone and a DNA sample of Ludwig Wolf Rudiger were examined.

If guilty. please lock them up and throw away the key.

On 19th of October 2017, German Uwe Erich Donflein (or Dörflein), 53, was arrested by DSI officials. For the man who lives in Thanyawan Hometown Village in Naklua had been issued an arrest warrant by the Attorney General and the German Embassy. He is accused of having sex with children under the age of 15, abduction and obscenities.

In the same village the same day the German Ludwig Wolf Rudiger, 60, was arrested, who is accused of the same crimes.

In both cases, DNA samples were taken and various computers and cameras and phones were confiscated.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 6th of March 2018: The immigration police managed to arrest two Germans, who were already wanted for online pornography, on March 6, 2018.

These were Uwe Erich Corflein, ( real name Dörflein) 52, on whom was issued an arrest warrant from 19th February. He was charged with online pornography and promoting sexual activities online and promotion of his own sexual activities. He was arrested at his home in Naklua.

Not far away lived the 65-year-old Wolf Rüdiger Ludwig. ( Real name Ludwig Wolf Rudiger) He was also arrested for possession of pornography and sex service offerings. Also for him had an arrest warrant had been issued for him on the 19th February.

Looking at the second story from 6th of March, it’s sad that they can’t even write their names properly, which could easily bring others in big danger who’ve got a similar name and are German citizens.

They were arrested at Kleine Heidelberg in Naklua , a restaurant I have been eaten at several times. I might have actually seen them .

One of the Germans was wanted for sexual child abuse in Switzerland , but he escaped and moved to Pattaya.

What draws them here?  I must be missing something. The penalties are much worse here than they would be in the states. Maybe more coverage rather than more incidents.

You have great confidence in Thai law enforcers. That's a pretty naive comment actually. It is easy enough to have the police at your door based on someone saying whatever they like. With the new military government, as long as some army personnel are present, no search warrant is required.

I had a nasty Thai neighbour report to the police that I was using drugs. I had a 5 man search party in my house (2 army, 3 police and 1 city hall) searching my house without a search warrant. They found nothing as I don't even drink alcohol, nevermind use drugs, (they found lots of vitamin supplements and protein powder) but the point is it's very easy to have the police at your door these days when search warrants aren't required. They can plant drugs too.

Bring a defamation case since nothing was found?

I have been reliably informed that these two men will go for trial at Pattaya Court on Friday 15th June 2018.
Let's hope that the judge orders them to be deported and black-listed so that they may never be able to return to Thailand again and be able to molest our children.

Won't solve the problem with deportation, there are kids in other countries as we'll.

I hope they get a sentence so they can think about what they did in prison. At least in Europe there is a chance they will be monitored when released.

Huh! Well, presumably they were "on" the radar of the German police not "under" it.

This is the trouble with repeating word for word anything said by Thai people no matter what level they may be.

Are progress indeed Sir,

Maybe the Thais you have been listening to thought the Germans were in a stealth bomber you could use that in your defence I suppose

Without the lowlife customers there would be no pimps supplying the children.

Wish that was so but this is Thailand and many innocent people are arrested and jailed if they cannot buy their way out of trouble.

Yep, I know of one man falsely imprisoned and let go after the police case finally fell apart.  If you ever get into such a situation, let the police know about your embassy doing there own DNA, finger print and evidence based checks.  That way, they may go sting someone else. But if you are guilty,  tough life.

Well, it seems that those two paedophiles have managed to get another trial date postponement for a period of two months until the 17th August.
Seemingly the lawyer of one of the men has requested two people to appear as witnesses for his defense and the court has allowed the time for these to be summonsed.

These witnesses are;
a neighbour as a character witness [which is useless in this case as they have not lived nearby long enough, plus they were caught with I.I.C.(indescent images of children) on their computers].

And the daughter of a woman he now live with (hardly unbiased)

Yes, but it happens more in some places then others. In countries with lax law enforcement, like Thailand, it happens more then in countries with strict enforcement, like the USA.

I have heard from a usually very reliable source, that the defence strategy to be employed in respect the charges made against those two German men in relation to their involvement paedophilia, will at their trial in August, be a very
bizarre affair indeed, with some very doubtful testimony of no real relevance to their charges being submitted.
And a lot of victim blaming by the perpetrators and a very strange supporter of theirs.
I am guessing but it begs the question; is this supporter of theirs a member of the group that is seeking legalisation of paedophilia. If so, then he should not be allowed anywhere near a court room where such people are being tried for it as a crime. Certainly, he should be thoroughly investigated by the prosecution before allowing his views to be aired in a court of law anywhere in the world.
As regards victim blaming, I understand that one of their victims was a ten year old prepubesant girl, and it would be preposterous to suggest that such a child could be held to blame for sexual assaults by grown men as this supporter of theirs is suggesting, or that she would make up such stories which is the other suggestion made by these three men.
Anyway, we will just have to wait until the 14th of next month (August) to find out how the judge views such nafarious accusations by their friends & family in the face of the discovery of indescent images of children on their personal computers.
