Bizarre. Wait a year to reopen a long dead post to have a moan about something you've never gone to. Next weekend the Blackpool Illuminations get turned on. Need some posts whinging about Christmas, chuck in some sniping about Diwali etc. The following weekend its Last Night at the Proms, so we need moaning about pompous arses in funny hats, flags, why can't we get a British conductor instead of a Finnish one. Someone will say its boring to hear, yet again, Fantasia on British Sea Songs, the meaning of Jerusalem. Then there will be an obscure debate whether Heart of Oak or Land of Hope and Glory should be England's Anthem (Rugby fans will fail Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, before being beaten down and reminded its also a slave song). Another event ruined by the instinctually unhappy.
