Pak Kret police have fined the monk who kicked another monk in the nape of the neck at an area temple.

CCTV had been posted on Facebook that showed the monk almost knocked out by the kick while he was counting money.

The kicker - Phra Somporn Muangruang,41, - and the victim - Phra Pornsak Yanjinda, 44, - met police on Monday evening.

Phra Somporn admitted a charge of assault but denied allegations that appeared online claiming he used temple money for gambling.

He was fined 1,000 baht.

Phra Pornsak said it was a minor incident and that he did not want to take the matter further.

The argument was over how twenty baht notes were to be bundled up for the bank, reported Thai Rath.

And you would think disrobed would be appropriate. Oh its another TIT minor incident. Sad innit.

Therein lies the problem or organized religion, the morality of those doing the organizing.

Disrobe and get rid of the one bad apple

Its a misunderstanding.. he thought his head was a football.

which monk was smoking?  Get a picture in your mind on this scene.

How Should those 20's be stacked. I am sure no holy money was used to gamble, was any used to pay this fine?

It always makes me chuckle when a naive backpacker student type says they "learnt about Buddhism" in Thailand and they are now super enlightened.

Actually, I was trying to highlight the lack of sense of proportion. It is very important for people to have a good sense of fair play, a good sense of judgement and a good sense of proportion. Nearly all the problems here are because these 3 things are lacking.

Its been so long yet there are so many things i dont get it here, so i stopped even bothering about all these. Its a whole new country with its own set of time to time changes of rules and for sure one set for Thai and the harsher set for foreigners.

When I was in Thailand visiting, I have been asked by a few monks if I smoked, as most are not monks for a

long time and a lot of them are smokers. Surprised!  Not really..

Geezer
