Here in the UK the BBC were complaining recently about the prevalence of stop and search of young black men in London.

The fact that there is a specialist Met Police department to deal with black-on-black gun & knife crime tells me they are stopping the right people.

Bravo, Tourist Police. It is very refreshing to see a society that recognizes when a large percentage of a given specific demographic commits crimes, they are profiled, rounded up and checked out. It doesn't matter to me which demographic it is; white, black, brown, farang, local, male, female, etc. If the data reflects a given demographic commits crimes in large percentages compared to the number of them in the country, racial/demographic profiling is justified.

 

I just wish the ultra-PC degenerate Snowflakes in the US understood this.

I am black men and american, it is an excellent police action,but , i have a vision that every black man is from Africa is a thought of racism, first look at the passport of person to see the origin of which country it comes from , if the person is legalized  your time in Thailand is ok

It's all about historical context.  Blacks were horribly discriminated against, in the worst way (I'm talking USA and the slavery days).  So most whites--and blacks--are hypersensitive.  There's no such baggage in Thailand.

 I know a few black expats in Chiang Mai and they are all honest and respectable.  Imagine being black and wanting to open bank accounts or renting accommodation with attitudes, you`re black you must be into some kind of criminal activity.

Those Countries mentioned above are multi cultural, they have Black citizens .

Thailand is not a multi cultural country, the Africans are not Thai citizens, many are here illegally and many are doing illegal things, that is why  they are being targeted . 

   The same thing has recently happened to Russians, Chinese and backpackers.
