divorced ,Thai child what visa?

Hello ,

I have searched in the forums but have got a bit confused.

I am divorced from my Thai wife and residing in Thailand ,i have a daughter that lives with me in our house and have the blue book with my name on it.

I have the divorce paper and my ex signed to say that i have custody of my daughter in the amphur .

What papers do i need to take to penang to get a visa?

What visa can i apply for ?

Is the paper from the amphur the only document i need to state that i have full custody to obtain a visa?

Thank you all in advance my mind is a little muddled searching for the answers .

In Penang you will only need your child's birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry to apply for a single or multiple entry non-o visa. You will also need  show 400k baht in a bank or proof of income.

You could also apply for a one year extension of stay at immigration since you are the legal father of you child since you were married when they were born. To apply for a one year extension you would need 400k baht in a Thai bank or proof of 40k baht income.

Do you currently have an extension of stay issued by immigration in Thailand?

Not forget the document the mother gave that you take care.

Not forget the school confirmation that she attents school and you pay the bills

Not for get copy of the divorce papers.

Not for get the copy of the id card of your daugther is she has one

Not forget the map to you home.

Not forget picture of you and your child with the house number and other picture of you and her.

Picture of your daughter in school uniform as well picture like id card photo when has school uniform.

 

Questionaire they will give you to fill out.

He is not asking about applying for an extension of stay at immigration. He is asking about applying for a non-o visa in Penang.
