Guemlum Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) Gents, my accountant is currently compiling the information required within the APPENDIX 2 (VAF 4A DECEMBER 2013) FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT FORM. He has contacted the home office and is getting no response to the questions below. Can anyone advise? Dear Sir/Madam, I am the HMRC agent for a client that is a sponsor. The Sponsor is a director of a Limited company and owns all the shares (close company). He receives a small salary and extracts the remaining profits from the company through dividends. We are completing Category F to meet the financial requirements. I have a few general questions that I hope you can help with: 1. Question 3.49 was the sponsor self employed? He was not, but he is under this category as a director. There is no box to tick asking if he is a director. Should I treat self employed and Directors the same, and tick the yes box to 3.49? 2. Question 3.54 asks if he is registered as self employed with HMRC? He is not, but again you classify self employed and Directors under the same section I am not sure to answer the question literary or under your general category?
