November 30, 20178 yr Cooler temperatures approaching Thailand THAILAND, 30 November 2017 (NNT) - Temperatures in the North of Thailand are expected to drop over the weekend, as frost has been detected for the first time this winter at Doi Inthanon. Rung Hiranwong, Head of Doi Inthanon National Park, revealed that temperatures at the Kew Mae Pan viewpoint dropped to as low as 3 degrees Celsius this morning, while the presence of frost for the first time has caused great enthusiasm among the approximately 2,000 visitors today. The Meteorological Department has forecast that from December 1st - 5th, another high pressure cell from China will spread to upper Thailand and the South China Sea, resulting in falling temperatures. Winter in Thailand does not necessarily mean lower temperatures, but lower humidity. My experience in Kalasin is 80 percent falling to below 50 percent. Much more pleasant.
December 1, 20178 yr I can live with these current temperatures, even a couple of degrees less in Isaan, just makes it more pleasant not having to turn on the air conditioners
