Based on this guys maths the plane is flying very low and it would appear the airport to the North is being used a parking lot looking at the cars on the runway. - Strange?

It's quite common for military airfields in Oxfordshire and the Midlands to be used for business, such as car storage and logistics, the cost of the space required, parking for volume cars and units the size of aircraft hangers, would be astronomical anywhere near London or Birmingham, although the rents are still in the region of 1 million a year.

It provides a good income for bases such as Alconbury, Upper Heyford and Chipping Warden.

Alconbury and Upper Heyford are still semi active and most businesses on these bases have a clause in their contracts that state they must remove their business and all materials within 48 hrs, in case of a national emergency that would require the base to be reactivated.
