Tourist Visa 90 Day Repeat Limit?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Can someone just comfirm for me if there is a limit on re-entry with a 60 day tourist visa gained in the uK? I was told by immigration that I can extend it for 30 days - but, what after that? Can I then do a Cam border run, what would I get if possible, or do I have to leave the country for 90 days?

Also, does anybody know if I could get a

1 yr multiple entry from Sydney whilst being a British citizen or

would I have to return to the UK? What are chances of getting a multiple entry under 50 yrs old?

Thanks for any help offered.

1. You would either do a visa free 30 day entry or obtain another tourist visa.

2. Believe the chance in Sydney would be close to zero for a non immigrant multi entry visa without qualifications. Some other locations in Oz the possibility might be better.

I have a TESOL with 10 years experience, but I don't want to work as a teacher full time. I also have a recent IT/multimedia degree.

By qualifications I was meaning having the qualifications for issue of a non immigrant visa, such as a Thai spouse, having employment, attending school and such.

OK, I'm with you now.

Because i started with a proper visa - can i border run & renew back to back?

Thanks for the replies.

You should be able to obtain the full 90 days allowed.

Sorry to be a pain, but can I just get this clear in my head?

So, I am in LOS with a 60 day visa - extend for 30 days here - then I border run to Cam & probably get a further 90 days, have I got this right?

No. You asked if you could repeat. You can cross border and obtain visa free entry up to 90 days total. You will not receive a 90 day stay. You will only receive 30 days at a time - so 3 x 30 or 9 x 10 would both put you at the limit for that type of entry for any 180 day period and you would then have to have a visa to enter again.

OK, I'm getting there.

So, if I reach my 90 day total, can I then go straight to a consulate in Asia, Oz or the Uk & get a new visa straight away or do I have to stay away for 90 days also?

If you have a visa you should not have any trouble making a re-entry.

From my own experience I would avoid the Sydney consulate like the plague.

Brisbane and Perth have much better reputations for helpfulness.
