Why would it. They look perfectly healthy and happy. The boy is crying because obviously the interviewer has asked him how he would feel if his granny died. Most kids would cry if told to think about their granny dying.

What's news about that.

An 8 year old going to the market to sell vegetables, to help his grandmother?

I've a couple of friends who are journalists at major news organisations.

They would be all over that story.

Oh and that shirt looks like a private school. And why is she sitting there counting the money whilst he works. Isn't that child labour?"

I had a Thai listen to the Thai-language video.  FYI ... The grandmother stays at home to take care of the boy's grandfather who is bed-ridden.

The grandmother stays at home to take care of the boy's grandfather who is bed-ridden. And that is what really upsets Greenchair.  Her man couldn t wait to run  and I  don't blame him

Actually my man was beaten almost to death by 5 of his friends. For 3 years I had to change his soiled pants and hand feed him. Because of the beating his pancreas was damaged, so he has diabetes, which is very hard to manage with his head injury. After that his 17 year old daughter  (whom I supported and put through university during all of this ) . got pregnant. And suddenly dropped the child on my doorstep. After which i lost my job because all the foreigners complained about me taking the child that cried to my job.a couple of months ago I asked her for 1000 baht to buy food and was refused. There are thousands of people like this. My father was an alcoholic, but he managed to raise 4 children and hold a full time job.My friend used to climb four flights of steps everyday when she was 8 months pregnant .

The media need to differentiate between poor, destitute and low income. I am now in the middle. That family looks about in the middle. Currently I am sick in bed and can't afford to go to the hospital.  and I had to bludge someone to bring home my boy.

this is me with my head in the bucket vomiting. So shut your trap.

I am glad that you have us to share your difficulties with.  I love people who complain about what they volunteer to do.

Have you thought of returning to your home country and going on welfare? Or do you feel your home country should send the benefits to your Thai address?

You see, if I was thai I would have every man and his dog offering to set up a go fund me page and laying on the pity party. I am not complaining, I am trying  (unsuccessfully )to make a point. I did choose to do it and I'm happy to do it. We all choose our path as did that woman. Well, i couldn't go home because that little boy would have been in a bar before his 10th birthday. of course you can't just go getting visas for the riff raff. Why don't you tell her to dump her husband and the boy. She doesn't have to stay there. We used to have to tie my husband to the bed in the Thai hospital to stop him injuring himself. I know many foreigners here that can barely feed their kids. They are all told to get on with it and stop complaining. I'm not seeing any hardship in this story.

That's funny. I love the ones that hate me the most. Makes for fun banter nah?

From your surroundings in the photo, you hardly live in poverty.  If you drink to the point you vomit, I feel no pity for you.

I am glad you didn t have a gastrointestinal difficulties as no doubt you would have attached photos too.

This is the time of year for people to get ready for Sandy Claws and other fictious reasons

to give from your wallet. I get calls every day from some body part company that wants

a donation. When I see a video that is a tear jerker, it does make me sad, but then I think of

all the corruption in the world and especially Asia and my sadness dims.

Mary Xmas to all!  (deliberate misspelling, so the Islamists won't get my sarcasm)

Geezer
