Thais were wondering how some people could live in such filthy surroundings after pictures of an apartment were shared on social media.

The pictures showed an apartment where every square inch of the floor was covered in trash. And there was also evidence of drug taking.

The occupiers had disappeared without paying the rent.

So infuriated were the apartment management that they put up a sign saying that there would be room inspections in the whole building according to a set schedule.

But anyone behind with the rent or who was suspected of causing damage or taking drugs could expect the management to drop by without warning.

The story was shared to popular page "DR.Kv.3" where posters wondered how anyone could live in such a mess.

Hoarding is now recognized as a psychological condition in the USA.

I presume you are referring to the vermin that occupied this filthy room as "animals"?

Normal animals generally do not choose to live in squalor.Dens and  lairs etc are normally cleaned by the animals themselves. Unless animals are kept by man in enclosed uncleaned spaces where they defecate, they are normally quite clean. Not far from my home there is an old shack on stilts that is littered with garbage. The occupant has mental problems and his family does nothing to help..

Calling the filth who did this an animal, is an insult to animals, and I like animals!

I do not like mosquitos and horse flies, hornets and wasps, so calling this

vermin an insect is more like it.

Geezer

Possessed by demons because  THEY made a choice.....to take drugs.

All those who believe drugs to be a harmless pastime please note.

Many medical practitioners consider drug addiction a psychological condition.

Also, laziness is an indicator of depression.

Guess he hasn't any money either, or he did have and now all syphoned off by the loving and caring family.

Let’s hope not, however it is still an indicator.

I’ve seen it at work in the past where perfectly good colleagues lose their mojo as pressure mounts and depression sets in.

Who took photos of my house??

Odonate sounds better...dragonfly nymphs that live in pond scum (which is exactly as that room looks).

No laziness is a symptom of depression.

While not all lazy people are depressed, a lot more than you think are.

The attitude you express here doesn’t help lift that cloud from them.

I thought  did. Didn't laziness got mankind to invent the wheel?

I wasn’t there at the time, but I don’t think so...for one thing inventors tend not to be lazy...

Probably occurred like this:

There was a genius who was very depressed because his friends and family refused to help him move huge stones 100s of km away to build a Stonehenge.

Then a light shone on him, about rolling logs, and then the wheel.

Again, I wasn’t there an all, but I’m going to say...I doubt that’s how it happened.

In rookie training I got assigned to a team tasked to clean out a house just vacated by an army officer.

The smell was revolting, turned out they were using 2 of the 3 bedrooms to run a chicken egg farm for several years.

Ultimately the house was torn down.

No doubt these colleagues were hard working at drowning out their unhappiness at the local pub...

Wouldn’t know.

Now rather than continue in this ridiculous way, would you care to discuss depression in a serious manner?

Laziness begats a messy living environment. A messy living environment causes depression.

Thus, laziness causes depression. And not laziness being a sign of depression.

Ive been inside houses that were a lot worse.
