Hard to disagree with either of the above posters :sad:.

 

Politicians are 'in bed' with big business - and both only care about their profit line and/or power.

 

It's extremely unlikely that they would allow the 'shock' referendum result to result in meaningful change, and most Brit. politicians will be quite happy to accept taxpayers paying more to maintain the status quo, as long as there is a chance that they can 'sell it' to the electorate.

 

It remains to be seen how the electorate react to paying more, whilst still living with the most disliked aspects of the EU - but politicians will be doing their best to square the circle....
