Call centres for sales/customer service?

Featured Replies

Hello

im wondering if anyone knows of any businesses, whether it be local or foreign, that have job vacancies on the phones for inbound sales/customer service with a need for native English speakers? Looking for ones where they don’t need you to speak Thai and are able to support with work permit.

"Inbound's" are staffed with Thai's these days. Regardless if they speak good/medium/little English.
"Outbounds's" are mainly "boiler-rooms", selling fake health-insurance/phony investement schemes to foreighners. (Must have "salesman-talent" and no scruples).
As a native speaker, you may want to teach English at one of the many Language Schools.
Call-Centers and most Language-Schools will not go thru the trouble to get you a proper Work-Permit. = Up to you for the most part.
Unless very qualified, young foreighners have a very hard time to enter the job-market in Thailand. The law says: Whatever a Thai can do, a foreighner is not allowed to do.
I wish you luck. Always retain enough money for a return Ticket to your home-country. Without money you will be poorer in Thailand than in your home-country. Remember that.
Cheers.

Thank you very much for your wishes!

Is there any discretion to the law?

are there any other tips, people or organisations that you think may be willing to take on a foreigner?

I could give you some "Tip's" but Forum-Rules do not allow for giving advice if they violate Thai-Law. (In this case, work-permit regulations and others).
Some years ago, some Farang Restaurant-Owners used to give short-time work to young Farangs (back-stage kitchen helpers).
But these days, it seems they have stopped hiring them (too risky, WP issues).

You may want to try Cambodia where laws concerning working-Farangs (Barangs) are much "softer" than in Thailand.
May not work for you, as long as the main reason for wanting to stay in Thailand is the presence of a cute Thai-Girlfriend/Boyfriend.(?)
Cheers.

are there any other places in Asia with soft/softer (than Cambodia) laws concerning work visa/permit?
