I don't particularly care for Trump for the same reasons I dislike all demagogues. If there was a first world country of rich black Africans with strongly democratic values, Trump would be falling all over himself to invite them to the USA. It isn't racism Trump is against. Legal immigrants of any color are welcomed, as long as you are not Muslim. You might have a case that he is racist there. The truth about the support for Trump is simple. People are tired of the status quo. They don't like the direction the USA is headed. They want something to change, and nobody cares about all the people benefiting from the current situation who are going to suffer when it changes. Deflect all you want, but screaming racism won't change anything. Until the poor white trash have good jobs again, anyone vocally against the policies of the last 50 years is going to win.
