If the news agency he worked for, or if he was an independent, it was well known at the time that there was possible danger. Nobody forced the reporter to get that close.

What an utterly uncaring, dehumanising comment. Surely you're a hardcore Establishment Thai national?

"Had their own horse , the democrats , won the election there would have been no protests at all and the likes of the PAD and UDD would not have risen to prominence. "

Total crap, and past events prove clearly you comment is absolutely/factually incorrect and divisive.

You forgot to add the stock junta phrase 'and causes confusion'.

You may notice a few "black shirts" firing rifles from the red shirt ranks.

watching the video again. Being reminded who and what the reds really are - I still prefer a junta, because I never want to hear again about those thugs (and their master)

let them elect a government only if it will  keep the reds in check

The red shirts have always been quiet when the principle of elections and the outcome of elections was respected.

Most Reds are decent people mainly poor and defranchised people who see their rights been trampled upon by the establishment and shoot when they expressed their grievances. I prefer a junta who stay neutral politically and stop meddling in domestic politics and Killing their own people.

have they?

I understand they have been quiet when it served their purpose to have their people in power. And have a corrupt government again as they please

In 2008 the judiciary and the military have meddled with the outcome of the elections to put into power someone who was not corresponding to the original choice of voters (which was confirmed by the 2011 elections). In 2014, the right to chose the government by voting has been prevented by protesters who blocked elections under the benevolent eyes of the army and the judiciary. It has later been prevented again by a coup.

You will never understand that they will be peace when the people chose their leaders. You more into forcefully taking away the people freedom of choice and replace with a corrupt regime.
