Do they check if you have done your 90 days reporting when you exit the country by Suvarnabhumi airport?

I'll leave Thailand at Suvarnabhumi airport

Will they see that I didn't do the last 90 days online reporting? And will they ask me for 5000 bahts?

Or what will happen? Will i be able to leave the country?

Thank you...

(I have done it but it was still pending on the website and I never finally did it because I can hardly go to the office, etc... anyway.. so I didn't do it)...

They have no way of knowing whether or not you have reported as the records are kept on your local office database. They are not interested in whether you've reported, and won't fine you anything. You'll have no problem leaving the country.

Even if I ask for a re-entry permit? Directly at Suvarnabhumi airport?

Thanks

No problem getting a re-entry permit either.

They staple a new slip into your passport on a 90 day report. At least they do at Jomtien.

I have always removed that stapled piece of paper when leaving and never had a problem.

However, they will fine you if you intend get a new extension of stay at immigration in Thailand.

If, as elviajero posted, "records are kept on your local office database", I presume that if you got an extension of stay at a different immigration office you wouldn't be fined.  Right?

They could look for your most recent receipt for a 90 day report or ask for it. If no receipt they could assume you had not done one and fine you for not doing it.

the company handled all visa related thing before, once they 'forget' to do the 90 day reporting. I went there myself and was asked

to pay 2000 Bath, since it was the company fault I've asked what will happen if i do not report/pay now, he told me, if i leave the country. I can pay over there or now, he do no t care, it may increase into 5000 Bath too (it was already 5 month)  I said i'm good with this if i do not need report anymore those 90 days for a while :)

Next visa extension, they asked to pay 2000, cause i did no t do the 90 day reporting. 2000 Bath and half page stamp 'not done the 90 day report and fined for 2000 bath'  since this time i do it myself ...

That is what most people do since immigration at an airport do not care about 90 day reporting.

sorry to spoil the party, but I have had an officer asking why I stayed more than ninety days.
Without the printout of the 90 day reporting-slip, I do not know whether or what consequences there would have been.

now that we are on the topic of 90-day reporting, on my latest entry, on the entry TM it was stamped when 90 days will expiry, rather a nice service from the immigration officer.  :-)

none, you can pay the fine of 2000 Bath at immigration or airport. It is 5000, if you get arrested and they find out you forget the 90 day reporting...

He would not of been able to anything about the 90 day reporting. He would have no proof you did not do one. It is outside of the authority of departure immigration to fine you for it.

I suspect he was just asking about you staying more than 90 days because the is the longest a lot of people can stay and did not bother to look for your  extension stamp.

The 2000 baht number is the standard fine but they could fine you more than that for not doing the reports.. The max fine is 5000 baht.

I have never heard anybody being arrested for not doing 90 day reports.

Fair point, but as already pointed out you can remove the receipt/slip. Not all offices will staple it in the passport, and IO’s at the airport don’t, as standard practice, look for it or request proof of your reporting record.

No it’s not. It’s 4,000 baht if arrested. Immigration can fine up to 5,000 baht max for a late report, but they charge 2,000. If you are issued with a fine they can also charge an extra 200 baht everyday until you pay.

Not necessarily, and highly unlikely.

I can assure everyone that there will be no problems at the airport whatsoever.

There will also be no problems at immigration, if applying for an extension of stay in the future.

I know this as I have been in and out of the country several times without issue.

I have also renewed my yearly extension of stay at the same immigration office, even when I hadn't done any 90 day reporting for a couple of years.

It seems immigration at the airport simply don't care about it, as you are leaving.

Immigration at Chaeng Wattana also don't care. The only ones that do are the 90 day reporting section.

I have read somewhere, that once you leave the country the 90 day reporting counter resets back to zero should you ever come back.
