So where are the rallies? Where is the underground movement gaining support from the masses?

Yep thought so, such a brutal regime emoji23.png

This is reality, the only people crying are jaded expats or mostly those abroad who sadly cannot let go of thailand.

What a silly deflection completely avoiding the point.

PS. If I'd known about an "underground" movement it wouldn't have been underground, would it Einstein...:coffee1:

The only Thais that like the JUNTA. Are the filthy rich and peasants with absolutely nothing to loose.

The majority despise this man and would beg for even Thaksin now

Oh no! The Thais just LOVE the junta, just ask toughlove who has observed this during the two weeks he's spent on a bar stool.

Let me educate you sunshine. When the masses are being suppressed and the supermarket no longer stocks basics then you can expect a movement to stirr

Just another farang beating his chest behind a keyboard.. Sad emoji26.png

What you write is half baked nonsense but it's probably derived from ignorance rather than malignancy, so I shall be polite.I'm guessing that you may not have been paying attention to what's going on now. It's true that the Junta had significant support at the outset but this has been rapidly draining away, particularly in the last 12 months. One anecdotal but significant piece of evidence can be seen in the social media - particularly Facebook - and the Thai press. The Thai public is increasingly aware that corruption continues unabated and the "road map" is simply a process designed to enshrine authority.

You do how however raise a valid point about the relative lack of protest in the country. Those of us who dislike the regime have to be honest about this and consider why this should be.The most obvious reason is that the urban middle class gave the the PDRC and then the Junta some strong support, and that many decent people were disturbed by Thaksin's meglomania.Out of the frying pan into the fire of course. We must remember that Prayuth's constitutional referendum gave him a significant degree of credibility - even though debate was effectively banned. But the country's mood is changing and even its initial supporters believe the Junta has overstayed its welcome.Junta support never had a majority of course and Shin support in the North and North East (40% + of all votes) remains pretty constant.Basically no party can win without North/NE support.

Incidentally you make the a schoolboy error in suggesting revolutions take place when the people are bowed and oppressed. They don't - they take place when things are getting better and when people have the ability to consider something other than the daily struggle to keep alive. And Thailand - though inequality is grotesque - steadily through every government has been getting richer and better educated. Not a comfortable time to be at the top of the pile.

Poor thai people. Forced to do as this man says. Until he says differently.

Its about power and ego. Not about anything else.

He is just fishing for ways to keep power and telling thai people they are too stupid to give democracy a go. They need a teacher like himself to show them how to live the thai way.

Its hilariouse.
