Thai men told: get to work and make more kids!

 

 

The Thai government have told their menfolk to get to work and start producing more children.

 

A ministerial level meeting was told that by 2036 30% of the Thai population will be of pensionable age.

 

The country needs more children so that in 18 years time there are sufficient adults in the workplace.

 

Concerns have been expressed about the falling birthrate. 

 

With this is mind the government have agreed to a whole raft of measures and tax breaks to encourage Thai men to start procreating, reported Sanook.  

 

Tax incentives for having two or more children are being doubled while help will be given to couples in paying a large chunk of maternity and delivery services at hospitals. 

 

Day care centers are also expected to be dramatically increased to help working parents. 

 

Tax breaks are also being brought in for people donating money to hospitals.

Shouldn't the headline read, get to work and take care of your existing offspring?

The road kill rate in 18 years time will probably take care of any increasing birth rate unfortunately.

Agree with the get to work bit....but the second half should be changed to 'cultivate some responsibility for your actions (man-up in other words)' and maybe not bring the effects of your misdeeds about in the first place. Telling Thai men to go on a shag-fest is probably a bad idea.

Yes, make more kids but don't run away afterwards!

I'm doing my part to lift the gene pool.

They got the zero dollar tourist numbers up. They got the road fatalities up. I can only see  this push being a resounding success too. 

Just looked out my front door up here from the village in Isaan, they were scurrying in every direction looking for a mating partner

Then the demand for money

I don't see how the Gov can advise on this as they believe in having kids at a young age in the villages (kids looking after kids )

Then as mentioned, quality - The way I see it is thailand will always be a generation behind due to Grand parents always looking after the kids (but not always the case )

Your Right,

On average 5,500 motorcyclists die annually in Thailand and the figures are just going up and up despite measures to try and stop the increase.

 

And the problem is particularly bad among the nation's youth, reported Manager.

 

Some 2,500 under their twenties are dying annually on the roads.

 

No doubt most mothers will be applying for a single mothers/deserted wifes pension.  

Why? The place is overrun with damn kids, schools everywhere you look, and all of them packed to overflowing. The environment is a disaster, and the roads are becoming increasingly clogged with traffic, even in rural areas.

And if they ever up the daft pensions in Thailand, they need to get even more people, or tax everyone to hell and back.

New tax break to promote families having more children

The Cabinet yesterday approved a tax break to promote married couples having more children as part of a government policy to offset the rising ageing population, said Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak.

 

A couple that has a first child will be entitled to an annual tax deduction worth Bt30,000, and to a deduction of Bt60,000 annually for a second newborn. 

 

The measure will start to take effect this year, with taxpayers able to claim the deduction when filing a tax return next year. 

Expenses associated with the delivery of a child are also tax deductible – up to Bt60,000 per child. 

 

The government projects that the proportion of elderly people will rise to 30 per cent of the population in 2036, a point at which Thailand would have fully become an ageing society. The tax break for having a second child would however slow the ageing trend, Somkid said. 

 

The government will also promote the setting up of a system of subsidised child care as a welfare benefit for employees. 

 

Employers would be entitled to a tax deduction of up to twice the actual cost of child care, but not exceeding Bt1 million annually. 

 

This tax break will be effective from this year until 2020, the deputy PM said. 

 

meanwhile, the Cabinet also agreed to allow those who donate money to support hospitals to benefit from a tax deduction of twice the actual amount, but not exceeding 10 per cent of their annual income. 

 

Corporates that donate money to support hospitals will get a similar tax deduction, up to a maximum of 10 per cent of their annual profits.

Forget support for single mothers, a real education reform, and other costly social gimmicks, they need slaves for their future ganja farms.

More kids means more female abandoned without any money to survive, so more bar girls.

Most Thai men don't have a paternity gene: it's wham; bam; thank you ma'am and move on.  Until they are made to pay 50% towards each child, there will always be a huge supply of mums doing whatever it takes to put food on the table.

More kids,even if they cannot afford to look after them,Tax credits

won't help the poor people who don't earn enough to pay tax.

Exactly the wrong type of government "advice". Population controls and strict birth limits should be mandatory worldwide...NOT spouting out irresponsible crap like this. 

Has anyone in government worked out what percent of married couples that work actually pay tax , where I  am we have a lot of industry, where the workers pay tax etc , these will be the ones more likey to have some form of family planning?

But , thay also want new mobile phones ,cars /motorbikes ect ,having kids coming after  if ever , and then it will be family pressure "When am I going to have  some grandchildren "says mum or mum in law, (wife's nephew has got this problem ), cannot see tax brakes helping .

It is kids  that left school without any  qualifications,do a bit here and there  to earn a few baht, live on the family farm  , pay no tax , where the problems are here today, tomorrow  who knows ,and grandma ends up looking after the kids , and end up being a social problem all round, and this group is bigger than you think. 

I can see the logic behind this....

The powers-to-be are slowly building up Hua Hin as the "west coast Pattaya" to boost the GDP in the future...

they're going to need a lot of "workers" to fill all the massage parlours & bars..

just make sure the next generation boom are female !!

Oh dear! This is only going to lead to three things:

 

• Higher rape numbers
• Higher amount of dumbness
• Higher percetage of poverty

Then we have the male A-string going. The Thai government have told their menfolk to make more children. Ok, but what about the women? They have a say in this?
As proven the menfolk will only be a small percent of the total production line. For them it takes 10-15 minutes. For the woman it takes 9 month plus morst of the work for the three first years.

The Thai government has just been awarded the gold medal in the "male chauvinist pig"-competition 2018!

It's taking care of it now. Many Thai women want to start a family but cannot find a suitable mate.  How many are already road kill?

If there is no work locally, then the parents will have to go either abroad or interstate to work, sure the Grandparents have to look after the kids, but its a matter of survival, and has been the way for a long times ago, might not be right, but it is what it is, and unless the government steps up to the plate, as opposed to allowing others to milk the system, nothing will change IMO.
