Chon Buri police on Thursday announced they had this week nabbed a 22-year-old local man, Thanasorn Kanthamanee, along with 2.15 grams of “ice” (crystal methamphetamine), 36.73 grams of crystallised ketamine, five bottles of liquid ketamine and 21 ecstasy pills.

Officers then extended the operation to arrest Amorn Noomachok, 26 and Banjong Saengsawang, 27, along with 36,000 yaba pills, 2.86 kilograms of “ice”, 1,000 ecstasy pills, 757 bottles of ketamine and a Bt500,000 pick-up truck.

The drugs were said to worth Bt4 million. Amorn and Banjong were charged with having drugs in their possession with intent to sell. Their alleged gang leader, Danaipop (last name unknown), evaded arrest.

If they catch him, this could be a first! Police normally seem to be satisfied at harvesting the low hanging fruit only.
