Doubt it.  The iguana and snakes are captive bred none native species... just like pets, although I think is wrong they are treated like that.

The Loris is a native protected species.  That is illegal wildlife trade / exploitation.

Sadly, these ones will likely have had their teeth ripped out (with no anesthetic) by their owner to stop them biting.

Glad the officials caught the guy, but now what happens?  Probably just get a small fine and told to go home (with the loris).  Or the animal will be confiscated - maybe locked in a cage and forgotten about left to starve, or send to some crappy zoo.  Doubt it could be released if it has had its teeth pulled it won't survive.

When I was there I also saw another woman with one of these animal too, walking with the guy.  Lets hope they find her too.

Does the tourist snitch also report dishonest Thai taxi driver cheats or tuk tuk crooks who scam on a daily basis ?

The slow loris is a protected species - the slow tourist is not.

Why sully a good news event? Some issues are easier to address than others.

If every time we were confronted  by a cruel injustice and said, well, another wrongful act  occurs, let's not do anything, we would be living in a place in chaos; a failed state.  How about saying good job, successfully prosecute, incarcerate and then hopefully get some other bad people.
