Dental Treatment

Featured Replies

I looking for a decent dental clinic between Jomtien and Sri Racha. I need dental surgery to extract roots, fillings and a new plate as well as teeth whitening. Cheers.

I use Pattaya International Dental Clinic on Soi Buakhao near Soi Honey. Their website has a list of prices so you can compare.

I would seek a dental clinic that is part of a hospital.  Pain control is very important to me and I have had the best experience from the hospital.

There have been good reports on the dental clinic at Phyathai Sri racha hospital

I can second that, they have a full time English speaking manager who will insure your appointment is scheduled correctly and provide you with an English speaking aide if your dentist doesn't speak English (most do though

Thanks, I've booked in for tomorrow. I have a lot of work to be done after 25 years ;).

I have dental issues that do not  need immediate attention, but will need a couple teeth pulled at some point in the not too distant future due to advanced periodontal issues.... I'm just looking for an English speaking clinic with a good reputation that can do routine work and fix me up with a partial denture on my 'good side' where I have a good set of lower chompers but none on top. I see a number of clinics around Ekamai on the SE side of Bangkok, not too far from me.  Has anyone had any  personal experience around there, or elsewhere around Bangkok that you could recommend?

How did you get on ? I need some work doing and am petrified of dentists due to a nasty experience as a youngster, pain relief/sedation is very important to me. TIA

Sri Racha wants 4 visits to just clean my teeth?? Obviously overkill in visits and money 10k. I'll go else where.

Sounds like you don't do dental regularly

Did you really think that they would do everything in one visit ?

If they had,  I sure as hell wouldn't ever go back

You can't ignore your teeth, which it appears that you have done by your original post,  and expect it to be fixed immediately and good luck finding a miracle cure

I don't need a miracle cure, but I did find a dentist that cleaned my teeth in one hit and pulled a tooth for a reasonable price. I'll be back there tomorrow for whitening and another extraction. Stay clear of Sri Racha!

I only go to the dentist if my teeth hurt. 62 years later, I have a few fillings, 1 cracked dead tooth (root canal and filled), and my 2 eye teeth snapped in half after a cycle accident (rebuilt for 1,600bht).

If it ain't broke, it don't need fixing.

If they wanted 4 visits for cleaning they were not talking about cleaning but deep periodontal cleaning, which is done in 4 sections (quads) where the gums are pulled back and the plaque and tarter are scraped clean.  This is done because that plaque and tarter will eventually separate the teeth roots from the jaw bone and no amount of crowns, caps, or root canals will make any difference

So you be sure and come back in about two years and tell us how your new false teeth are working out, since you may have saved a few baht today but you are going to spend much, much, more in the future

Thanks for your advice. Obviously, you are a dentist, and at least now I have an explanation for 4 visits of cleaning. However, I have other medical conditions which put more priority over my teeth.

Cheers.
